Very disappointing hotel. The room was clean but the hotel lift and surrounding area was covered in grime. Breakfast was basic, the juices were squash which is usually a bad sign, and for Italy, even the coffee was poor. Location is good and Florence is expensive so I didn’t expect opulence but the hotel was tired and most staff looked like they needed a holiday much more than we did! The shower in our room had no door on it so the bathroom was like a wet room but with a wooden floor. As we checked out they couldn’t even be bothered to ask if we enjoyed our stay - obviously they know not to ask by now! This is in no way a four star hotel.
