The property is in a beautiful location. The hotel itself has seen better days. Although the staff is attentive and assists in all requests, there is a sense of the place being "tired" and in need of a facelift. With some care the place could be a 4 star property.

Truly Classic

Truly a “classic” hotel with a quaint feeling. Breakfast in the garden couldn’t have been lovelier. The staff was exceptionally helpful. The location,near Porta Romano, gave easy access to Florence.

We really liked the hotel. Nice rooms, very nice area for breakfast. Very convenient that breakfast is included. Polite staff. Very close to all sightseeing, located in the area with many restaurants and shops. But! When we checked in we paid their city tax cash and unfortunately didn’t get the receipt Then when we checked out the other receptionist told us it’s a different tax or smth and we were in a rush and paid it again . Then I checked and texted them to explain and they said it was a misunderstanding.. but so far money haven’t been returned and they went quiet.. so!!! Be careful and make sure you don’t repeat our mistake. Get the receipt and double check what you have to pay at the property so you don’t pay in twice!

A great find

A great find - free parking outside of ZTL so no vehicle charge, air con in the room, adequate breakfast from 730 and a short bus ride into town. The staff were friendly especially and helpful especially Avis and the room was spacious and the shower was strong. It could do with a bit of an upgrade but it was well priced and did the job.

There was a front desk woman , Bernadette , who was so attendant to all my needs and greeted me each time I interacted with her . Abeautiful classic home , reminded me of the Von Trappe house in the Sound of Music. Breakfast is outside by a lovely quaint garden. The sheets and floor appeared clean . Within 10 minutes to the center of town. Loved it there

Benedette at reception was wonderful, and checked us in for our beautiful room. There is a garden courtyard in the back where you can relax and have a nice meal. We parked right in front. The hotel is a short walk to the entrance to the historic part of Florence. It is next door to the Boboli Gardens too. Each day we walked or took a taxi in to the central part of Florence where there is much to see and do. At night we walked back to the hotel. This is a superb place to stay!

Thank you. I loved my stay at Classic Hotel over 4 nights. Amazing and super friendly staff and a perfect location for me, within easy walking distance of the main attractions, as well as the station and the hill walks around Bellosguardo, Arcetri & Marignolle. The garden is lovely and enjoyed sitting outside in the quietness with a glass of wine in the evenings. Would really recommend a stay here as a nice quiet place, close to the action, and lots of parking (a bonus in Florence)! Will be back.

We liked that our hotel was cottage-style, with the dining area located in a cute garden. Rooms were clean and service was great, and this hotel offers on site free parking! Breakfast was good with several options. However, because our room was inside the garden, we found that there was a lot of mosquitos (around 10) in our room, which may be due to the abundance of trees and plants in the garden. It would be better if there was a way to reduce it. (If you are staying within the main building, there probably isn’t as many mosquitos).
