"Personally wasn’t sure that the quality of the property was worth almost $500 for the two nights that I was there. It was little things here at there; a few hairs found on the extra towels and pillows, the floor left my feet feeling dirty when walking barefoot, the microwave and coffee maker could’ve been cleaned again as well as some other small areas here and there. I was out of the room for most of the time so it was moreso just a place where I could crash and then leave so even bringing the concerns to staff wasn't too important to me, however I felt that these critiques were small enough to have not been there. Staff was great though especially the gentleman at check in (Eduardo) and I loved the view of the boats and water to wake up to :) Overall pretty decent hotel if you’re just using it to sleep but probably not the best for those looking for a lot of complimentary resort amenities or something with a lot to do."

"My family stays at VRBO's so we can just hang out, cook and play games. There really wasn't sufficient appliances to cook with. Not even an air fryer. There was a toaster and a 2 burner electric heating element thing and the toaster is in desperate need of being replaced. But the food at the dive bar was excellent.. we just had not budgeted and prefer not to eat every meal out. The office ladies were very friendly. We would stay again if they would stock the place with an air fryer, toaster oven, blender, some appliance and this place would be fine"

"The Sand Dollar was such a cute house boat and perfect for our family of 5. The sunsets were so pretty!"

"We were able to check in early. Ocean view king suite was perfect. Ice machine and water were much appreciated. We kayaked, enjoyed the heated pool, and loved muffins delivered to our patio each morning. Sunsets were amazing. Don’t hesitate to stay here. We took an Uber to restaurants and bars and got Uber Eats one night. Easy!"

"Such a beautiful property. We were a large group of friends, five couples. The home was comfortable, spacious, with lovely amenities. We enjoyed cooking in the large kitchen which had a great subzero fridge & extra ice maker. The two coffee makers definitely came in handy as well. We used the pool daily & enjoyed the game room. We never found the controls to the hot tub though. The rooms were clean, well appointed & comfortable. We saw the gator, dolphin, & manatee from the decks as well. All in all it was hard to leave such a lovely home! Thank you"

"The host Heidi was the best host I’ve ever met! Her place was absolutely stunning and she and the House Boat was beautifully set up! If you want a place that has everything right there such as restaurants and coffee cafe with stunning views, this place is a must try! You will not be disappointed! "

"Terrible! Arrived during the coldest week the keys has had, the house had NO HEAT even though it says heat in amenities. She knew there was no heat and freezing temps were forecasted but did nothing. host reluctantly got us space heaters the next day. Not enough to make the house warm, froze for multiple days during our first week. Then host said I made reservation for only 6 people and I had 9. I had conversation history asking for price about the whole house and 10 people. 5 bedrooms total. only one level is listed where you can book on Vrbo, host had to change it and put in the negotiated price so I could book whole house. She quoted me for 10 people. That is in writing. But I did not change it when I made the actual VRBO booking and it defaulted to 6 people even though it showed the price she quoted me for 10. My fault, I did not realize it. She held me to the reservation of 6 even though house accommodated 10.Vrbo said they saw the conversation and quote for 10 but since reservation said 6, they would not assist. She wanted 5000 more to allow extra people. We tried to work, it out, paid extra for one week,but then she canceled our reservation after one week of our month long vaca and will not refund. She drove by dozens of times a day, watched us from across canal in back yard,took pics of cars. Absolutely horrible vacation for me and my family for the entire 7 days we were there. After she canceled, I booked another house that has been amazing. Do not stay here. "
