Our second time at Water's Edge. Lovely setting, friendly staff, and nicely appointed rooms. Unfortunately, this time around, they had to move us to a different room on the second night, which was odd and a little inconvenient in that second room lacked a balcony where we planned on sharing a picnic dinner. Otherwise, a very nice stay.

The room and bath were clean and comfortable. The spa tub was a bonus we didn't expect. Bed was very comfortable. The small balcony was nice and cozy for 2. Brrakfast was delicious! And we were pleasantly surprised with afternoon cocktail hour. Walking distance to the beach and pier was great.

Beautiful and charming. Easy to walk and bikes provided. Breakfast and happy hour were average, but rooms are beautiful and have a good combination of convenience and uniqueness. Close to water and many restaurants within walking.

Staff was extremely friendly, room was clean ans spacious. Begat was homemade and delicious. Only thing was there was no way to turn off the a/c so the room was very cold

Nothing less than absolutely charming is how I would describe Waters Edge Inn! My stay was for job related purposes so I originally booked the Floridian suite, since it had a workspace,however it was out of service, so was offered two options. I chose the carribean because of its amazing bathroom and there was a table on the veranda I could use my laptop . The inn was very quiet ,private and I felt very safe as a female travelling alone. Just be prepared to climb several flights of stairs. Im glad I packed light and Lionel was very gracious to help me with my luggage. Excellent pillows and a super comfy bed and provided robe you will want to stay in! The outside temperatures were record lows so I didnt use the hot tub or bikes but they were available. I don't know if they are allowed but my only suggestion would be a small electric space heater since the room was cold at night and the thermostat controls the rooms on that floor instead of. individually. I will absolutely book again if I need to return to johns island for work!

Very lovely place. Breakfast was great. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. I will say however, if you have trouble walking then this may be an issue as we had to walk three flights of stairs inside to reach our room. Many many stairs. There was no indication of this when viewing the site on Expedia.

Darling inn, very close to the beach.

Great place to stay, very friendly staff, love the availability of the bikes. I don't usually eat breakfast but I did enjoy the scrambled eggs and fresh fruit and coffee! Easy walk to the beach or they can take you over in the golf cart!

Folly Beach offers a very laid back atmosphere and pace. The Water's Edge Inn reflects that same tranquil feeling with some fun Hawaiian themes. The staff was so welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast and 4pm happy hour/snacks hit the spot. We also like being able to walk to most of the spots in Folly Beach easily from the Inn--hope to stay again.

As already shared in my rating, everything was wonderful! We loved the serenity of the place and location. Coffee, water, and tea were plentiful. Additionally, there was breakfast, and a social hour with alcohol. Personally, we don’t drink alcohol, but we did witness the beverages and appetizers. Everything looked great! We weren’t able to rate the breakfast, because we had to leave early each morning. We really enjoyed the bicycles. We rode them to the beach, shopping, and restaurants. The staff is very attentive and friendly. We are definitely planning to come back.

Everything was great the property was nice the bed and room were comfortable. Breakfast was a delight. You could walk everywhere with ease. Staff was fantastic whom I interacted with Erin was great give her a raise.

There are quite a few steps to get to check in & that’s also where happy hour & breakfast are served, so it might not be suitable for people with mobility issues. We had a ground floor room with a walk in shower, which was great, however, the room didn’t have a raised toilet. Only stayed one night & had a great night’s sleep in the comfy queen bed.

This was a great stay in a quiet room with all the amenities one would expect at a top B&B. Very convenient to the beach with an easy walk that kept things quiet without requiring transportation to get there. Would definitely stay there again sometime.
