Great accommodations, very pretty property, very accommodating hosts. Tennis & basketball across the street, walk to the beach. Near to cafes, etc. use of beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards. Loved it here! Pool is small, but adequate.

Home Away From Home

We call Breakaway Inn our home away from home. It is close to the ocean but at the same time far enough away from all the noise. The owners live at the property and are always willing to help in any way.

This is our second year coming to the Breakaway Inn and it was relaxing and peaceful. The property is beautiful, although it’s old that is what gives it charm. I love coming here to stay

The Breakaway Inn is a diamond in the ruff, couldn't be happier. From the moment we meet the owner to the last day was amazing. Close to the beach, food and shopping. The weather was amazing. They took care of us and made sure they were there if we needed anything. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Loved the Old Florida feel of the property. A lo ely Garden and heated pool. Owner/manager welcoming and always available. Super convenient, yet quiet! On the down side the wi-fi ranged from unreliable to nonexistent. They are in the process of upgrade though.

From accommodating our early arrival, to the arrangement of a late checkout, we could not have asked more. Our room was spotless, kitchen had everything we might need, and the water pressure in the shower could practically peel paint-just the way we like it. The courtyard was quiet, and we more or less had the pool to ourselves for the duration of our stay. Just a few steps to the shops & dining, a couple of blocks to a grocery store, and the beach only minutes away by foot as well. Perfect.

Location and price were great. Owners were attentive. Some who are used to new hotels in suburbia might find the rooms dated but not unusual for non- chain rooms in FL. For example, no central air, older window AC, no soap dishes in bathroom, etc. I'm fine with old school and the Wi-Fi works great and a full kitchenette and beach chairs! Two blocks to the beach and all the restaurants and bars for a great price what more child you ask for

What a gem! Super comfortable beds, perfectly clean kitchen, bathroom, and living room and well kept property. The room I stayed in was an apartment with a full kitchen. Management on property and always available and super nice. 2 blocks from beach but there is a shortcut. Beach towels and chairs/umbrellas available upon request and guest laundry on site. If they were booked for when I come back in a couple weeks I would stay again!

This lovely gem is near everything in Lauderdale by the Sea. The pool is clean with Adirondack chairs and tables. The garden is lovely to just sit and relax in the nearby ocean's breezes. Beach chairs & towels are available, and a variety of after sun/burn products are too! We had a ground floor room with 2 queen beds, table & chairs, fridge, oven/stove, microwave, all pots, pans, plates, glass & tableware, plenty of closet/drawer space (with hangers), blankets, iron & board. They clean & change towels MWF. Parking on premises, with a 2-3 block walk to beach. Outside table and chairs to dine outside your room. Lots of restaurants, kitchy shops, a grocery store nearby. Try the Aruba Cafe on the beach. Yummy food, reasonably priced for what you get. Kilwins ice cream. We made friends with a local cat, but no pets allowed. Pleasant guests. Quiet. Very enjoyable stay.
