"when I arrived I was told the hotel had no water and their systems were down so they wouldn't allow us to stay. I had this room booked months in advance and nobody notified me. Staff told me they would tell hotels.com to issue me a refund and they never did. Hotels.com tried to contact them on my behalf and got no answer. I tried to contact the hotel directly and their number is disconnected. Hotels.com gave me credit on my account for the future but this property is taking zero accountability. I will never stay in another wyndham property again. I waited several days before leaving this review and have tried to contact the property daily to try and make this right. This place deserves to shut down based on others having similar experience. Ridiculous to think the owner doesn't have a way to access the system remotely and contact guests or issue refunds."
"We loved our stay in this house. It was clean, comfortable and decorated nicely. The owner was responsive to needs and the house was centrally located to all we wanted to see. It is one of the nicest VRBO’s we have stayed in."
"Simple hotel. Very plain, basic decor, but after staying at several other properties on this trip that were in this price range, and reflecting... this hotel stands out. Very clean, well maintained, and quiet. My only gripe is they need curtains badly on the secondary windows, it was difficult to sleep in past 6am. Would stay here again, absolutely."
"We couldn't check hotels too well on the road in northern Nebraska (lack of internet) so we were pretty much dedicated to staying in Chadron when we rolled into town. Something must have been going on in town since everyone else on Hotels.com was sold out or over $200. College was out, and tourists had not started yet, so don't know what. So out of cheapness we picked this place. We knew it wasn't going to be great but this is my take on it. First it should have been around a $60 at most hotel. They probably also indulged in the hotel markups although only a handful of cars in the parkinglot. The room was clean and bathroom well maintained, but the carpet and chair and couch were questionable. Very stained/used. The hotel 'disinfect' smell was definitely not in this room. So when the ventilation kicked on (you don't have your own climate control which is my main gripe, it was centralized) you get all the smells from the adjacent rooms. Ventilation system had BO or maybe somone was smoking some pot. I don't mind mom&pop hotels, I often stay at them, but one thing I avoid is if they say they rent by the week. This place has a sign saying it does."
"Well stocked kitchen and good linens and bedding. We had a barking dog the last morning but otherwise peaceful and quiet and central to all attractions"
"Staff unbelievable. Never passed one when they didn't ask how was your stay or if you needed anything. Breakfast buffet was out of a lot of things....milk, yogurt, pancake maker was broken, and coffee beans had run out."
