Beautiful Ross Marler Park with walking paths and a beautiful playground area is located at the end of our street! Many local restaurants are close by!

This property was nice and had lots of extras (beach towels, chairs and umbrellas). The outlet plugs were iffy sometimes, the dishes are dependent on prior guests actually cleaning them. The master bedroom is a bit stuffy like the air doesn’t get distributed as much in that room. The master bathroom shower curtain was not changed because it still had a prior guest hair band hanging on the curtain hook and soap globs dried on it. It ver all it was a nice place.

everything was very nice great location would definitely come again. our only problem was the refrigerator did not work and we could not find who to contact legacy did not recognize my e mail i think because we booked though Expedia. we had to throw out food and live out of a cooler still nice trip

Loved the 1st floor

We loved the convenience of the ground floor! No waiting on elevator! The unit is stocked with literally everything you need! We used their beach chairs , toys, didn’t have to buy anything except our food. I didn’t like this neighborhood. About 1 mile away from the condo was trashy with lots of night clubs and adult entertainment businesses. You also can’t see the beach from the room due to sand dunes, but it is a very short walk to the sand. We throughly our stay. Drove about 10 miles to Destin for activity.

Family Tides 111 unit

This was a great vacation. Condo as described. Good communication with property managers. They even called to let us know the unit was ready before 4 pm. Plenty of bath towels, beach towels, beach chairs and games for the whole family. Unit was very clean. Kitchen had everything we needed plus some. Ocean was a short walk from the door wall. The pool was directly across from unit. We liked being on ground level. Lots of restaurants in the area. The grocery store was a short drive. Destin was easy to get to even with all the spring break traffic. Our family plans on returning and would rent this unit again. Thank you!

Fabulous Condo

My family just enjoyed a week at family tides! The first floor entrance made everything very close and convenient for my teen daughter who has a broken foot. Not to mention, it was a breathtaking view when we first walked in! This condo is very close to some of the top resturants on Okaloosa Island. You can tell the owners take pride in this condo with how well kept the property is. Also, all the extra amenities made our beach days wonderful!

Great place!

This condo was beyond great! Exceeded our expectations! It had everything we needed! We loved our stay! We had family come and visit us and everyone loved it! The beach is right out the door and the pool was a hit also! We would definitely stay here again!

The location was perfect! Beach beautiful and a short walk right out the back door to it. The area is not crowded but is a short drive to many things. I’d definitely stay here again.

Wonderful experience

Opening the door to the back patio early in the morning and hearing the crash of the waves hitting the beach is priceless. When it said it is on the beach, it is on the beach. Had a wonderful time and would rent again.

Perfect getaway

The condo was perfect for my family for a quick getaway. It was very welcoming and had everything we needed for meals. It is beautifully decorated and spacious. It was awesome to feel at home at the beach. The location is perfect, being an end unit on the ground floor. Watching the sunrise on the patio every morning with a cup of coffee was heaven! My two small kids also loved playing on the large patio. We look forward to coming back!

The condo wasn’t cleaned as good as it normally is typical dust and dirty laundry room. Overall the stay was fabulous close enough to the necessities and food places and plenty of stuff to do.

Beach access was amazing!

Overall the condo was great. Access to the beach was so easy and close. No parking pass was in the unit and the WiFi wouldn’t work when we got there but the owner was awesome and got us access as soon as she could. She was very responsive.

Very nice unit, great location.

This property in general is very well managed and seemed to be well cared for. My daughter and her family were in this unit and we were on a unit on the second floor. This unit is ground floor, so we didn't expect a great view and that was the only thing that might have been less than perfect. Otherwise, everything we needed was there and everything worked. The only bad thing I have to say about our trip is that Ft. Walton is terrible about recycling. I had saved cans and plastic bottles all week, intending to dispose of them environmentally, but ended up throwing everything in the trash because I couldn't find a recycle bin anywhere. This is a terrible example coming from a community that otherwise seems to be trying to preserve natural habitats and protect their sea animals.

Our second stay in this exact unit!

We love Okaloosa Island and the Surf Dweller is a gem! It's smaller so the pool is never packed, and the units are HUGE compared to other properties. We love this ground floor unit because it walks right out and has a HUGE patio. Both bedrooms are ginormous and the main area is as well. This is my go to unit if I'm in the area. Ownership recently changed and the new owner is just as lovely to work with as the old one was.

In desperate need of maintenance and a deep clean

The good: Location! You can’t get any closer to the beach without a boat. Of the maintenance issues we had, the property managers fixed the first few (refrigerator malfunctioning, thermostat broken, bedroom tv not working) quickly. Though it was frustrating having to deal with these things on the first day of our vacation. The bad: The condo is pretty dirty. Yeah there’s sand, that’s to be expected. The furniture smells dirty and the rugs haven’t been washed in a long time. There is mold in the bathrooms and around the vents. In the master bath the ceiling is falling down around the exhaust fan. The manager said it was caused by a leak from an upstairs condo and they were addressing it. There is a musty smell in the bathroom that did get better after we washed the rugs (they were visibly dirty). There is an outlet hanging out of the wall under the cupboard. The manager also said they were aware of this. That is a safety issue, and yes it is live. I checked the smoke detector. It works but fell off in my hand. I noticed NONE of the wiring in the box behind it had caps on the wires, the ends were all bare - another safety issue. The light fixture in the dining area looks like it’s falling off the ceiling. Our opinion is there are too many cleaner, well maintained condos in this area to stay in this one.

Fun in the sun!

We had a wonderful time at this beachfront property. This condo in particular was very easily accessible to and from the beach since it is on the first floor. It was clean and well equipped. The beach was beautiful and we had wonderful weather. Thank You for sharing.

Okaloosa Island Surf Dweller Unit 111

We flew in on a Thursday! We had no problems with check-in at all it was extremely easy! Condo was clean and they took extra precautions for COVID 19. The condo provided EXCELLENT skillets, baking pans, mixing bowls, and dishes yes we love to cook on vacation as well as eat out! The beach was absolutely wonderful and NOT crowded while we were there! Several restaurants within walking distance! Stewby’s was wonderful! Ice cream place had amazing ice cream. Rockin Taco AMAZING too but a small drive! Location was 9 miles from Destin although along 98 you can get into some long traffic! Day trips were great though! GREAT VACATION! GREAT PLACE TO STAY! You will not be disappointed with this one! 🕶🌞🌊 🧳

Clean, we had a small issue and the property manager called right away and too care of the problem. Loved the way the place was decorated with antique looking furniture. The only bad thing I could say is it could have used an extra roll of toilet paper overall it was great.
