"It was ok hotel, rooms are very small but clean"

"Staff didn't seem very well trained, seemed like bar staff doing reception work against their will. Arrived at check in at 3pm as advised, checked in and showed ID, told room wasn't ready. Given a standard free drink, told to sit in the bar and we'd be told when ready. 40 mins later went and asked if ready and told we hadn't checked in. Had to show ID again, check in and told now ready. Room was clean and a family room for 3 friends but was a full accessibility room. Bathroom had a high toilet and a very low sink which was fine. The biggest problem was the temperature, it was locked at 26 degrees and the temp outside was 30 degrees so extremely warm. The sign above the thermostat said it couldn't be changed so open the window, would love to do that but the window handle etc had been removed so locked shut. It was horrendous and even went up to 26.5 in the evening. Spoke to staff on reception who said nothing to be done but they'd organise a fan. Which they didn't as another member of staff said there was only one and they were using that one. As we were at the end of a corridor we just propped open the main door as it was slightly cooler out there. Breakfast was fine with plenty of choice. On check out, they'd taken payment without asking if correct card to charge. I asked for an email with invoice, staff member said that's fine, asked for email and after a while confirmed it had gone, I've never received it. Stay was OK but wouldn't stay again or recommend."

"The location was amazing and the staff was very kind and helpful. Great location for walking the city. We were there during the heat dome so the room was quite warm but the lobby had air conditioning. Under the pullout bed it hadn’t been properly cleaned from previous guests - there was an empty water bottle and some food crumbs not from us. Otherwise great and I would recommend to my friends."

"I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this hotel. Upon arrival, I was allocated the wrong room despite specifically booking and paying for a room with a kitchenette. When I raised this with reception, I was initially told that I had been given the correct room. However, after showing my booking confirmation, staff acknowledged that an error had been made and that I had in fact been placed in the wrong room. I was then informed that the hotel was fully booked and that I would need to remain in the incorrect room for one night before moving to the room I had originally reserved the following day. This was unacceptable, as the primary reason I booked this particular room was to make use of the kitchenette facilities. By placing me in a standard room without these facilities, the hotel failed to provide the accommodation I had paid for. I explained that I was not receiving the service and amenities advertised and purchased, and therefore expected to be reimbursed for the difference in room type. Furthermore, as I was unable to prepare my own meals due to the lack of kitchenette facilities, I requested that the cost of my evening meal be covered by the hotel. What made the situation even more frustrating was that approximately one hour later, the hotel was suddenly able to move me into the correct room after all. This directly contradicted the earlier explanation that the hotel was fully booked and that no suitable rooms were available until the following day. Th"

"The Gantry London, Curio Collection by Hilton is in a perfect position for walking to Abba Voyage, V&A Storehouse, V&A East Museum, and the Hackney Bridge complex. It’s a great area that is thriving since all the work in the area in the lead up to the Olympics. The Gantry is close to Westfield and high end shops, public transport, restaurants and cafes to suit every budget. This is the second time I’ve stayed there and will stay there again next time I’m in London. The rooms are large with king single beds in the twin rooms. The push button showers are also larger than normal. There was a fridge, coffee and tea making facilities, iron and ironing board and safe in the room. The rooms were spotless and the staff professional, very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. There is also a Community sauna and ice bath centre just across the road. We had coffee and dinner there on different occasions and both were great. Highly recommend."
