"The hotel is charming, and the staff were courteous. One small annoyance - they charge a $25/night amenity fee. One of the items that is included in the amenity fee is a shuttle to/from the airport. During my stay, I received a marketing email from the hotel. In it, it's mentioned that they offer a complimentary shuttle service to/from the airport. That seems a little disingenuous, given the customer essentially pays for it via the amenity fee."

Beautiful and unpretentious, this winery recently moved their tasting room out of town and into a novel ski-lodge like structure atop one of the foothills south of town. The view is stunning, and the wines are fun and accessible. The same winemaker also works the upmarket Pepper Bridge wines, and Amavi is his outlet to experiment with different grapes, blends and vineyards. In addition to tastings, they'll also pour glasses - in case you just want to hang out on the deck and enjoy the view. Best enjoyed in the afternoon when the deck is shaded.
