The hotel is older but well maintained. In our case there was not view because of the weather, and there is not really any restaurants or shops within walking distance. There is a shuttle to town, but the last one leaves before dinner. The staff were excellent and the hot bathes fantastic. If the location works for you, and you don’t mind well-maintained older rooms, this is 5 star.

We had a great stay at the hotel. Room was clean and spacious. The view of Fuji mountain from the hotel was beautiful. The hotel has a top floor view room where you can look at the lake and the mountain. Breakfast and dinner were very good. And staffs were super friendly and responsive to requests.

We had an amazing stay at Fuji View Hotel. Everything about our experience was wonderful. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. One of our favorite parts of the hotel was the beautiful garden—it was peaceful, well maintained, and a lovely place to relax. The hotel also offers rental bikes, which made it easy and enjoyable to explore the surrounding area. It was a great addition to our stay. The breakfast was very good, with a nice variety of fresh and delicious options to start the day. Overall, Fuji View Hotel is a fantastic place to stay, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Fuji area. We would definitely stay here again.

It was a great hotel away from the business of the downtown area! They had a shuttle though so it made it easy to get to restaurants if needed. The room had an amazing view of Mt Fuji and the breakfast buffet truly enjoyable.

I loved that there was a balcony, great view of Fuji! Onsen is nice, I liked bathing in the evening, so peaceful, they do have vending machines in the basement. Free Shuttle bus from kawaguchiko station and back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Staff was very helpful!

It is an old hotel but a very well kept hotel. The Japanese style rooms was a great experience for my friends and family. Amazing view from our rooms and throughout the hotel of Mount Fuji. Beautiful hostel grounds to walk around and very peaceful.

The hotel was good - great breakfast. They had a free shuttle into town / the bus station. Our biggest issue was getting a room for 3 people meant a traditional Japanese style room, so we were sleeping on mats on the floor and it was terrible. Not the hotel’s fault, my own for not paying better attention. Thankfully we were only there for 2 nights - our backs would not be able to handle much more. Otherwise everything else was good.
