Clean, spacious, modern room. Good closet space. Responsive staff. Great location in terms of culture and proximity to marina, many restaurants and market (groceries, flowers, coffee shops). Jeep tours pick up in Funchal so that asrt is great too. Above restaurant row and close down at night is noisy when they pour glass bottles away. But it does not last long and for me and my son, it was not too late... around 11pm. I don't think the restaurants actually close that early but maybe they do the noisy glass handling earlier to closing time?

Awesome location, very comfortable stay

We enjoyed our stay here very much. It was a great location with all sorts of beautiful surroundings and things to do. The street right beside us was the famous street with paintings on most of the doors. Little cafes and restaurants/bars galore. There is a huge market to get all sorts of tasty produce, fish, and other treats very close by. We really enjoyed having a couple meals on the rooftop patio! There are almost always local musicians playing at the restaurant right beside the entrance. They do stop playing around 10pm. *Do bring earplugs for sleeping if you are sensitive to noise as there is music and other street noises. *it was hard to understand the laundry machine. But we were thrilled that it was a dryer too! *mini ants will find there way to food left out. Definitely worth giving this place a try. 5 stars 🌟 🤩 ✨️ 😍 💛 Thank you, G&T from Canada
