"Pleasantly surprised. Great hosts, lovely little cottage with very comfy furnishings, ample kitchen accessories, plenty of parking space. Coonara heater with tons of firewood and kinding added to the enjoyment. Very quiet location, indoor pool, gym, snooker table, tennis court, small kid's playground. 5 minute drive to the centre of town and a 5 minute walk to the HG pub. Would recommend for romantic getaway or fabulous family holiday. Close to Ararat, Stawell, Pomonal, numerous wineries, and of course the bushwalking venues. Five stars all the way!!"

"Absolutely fantastic location, seamless check in and check out great facilities including fire pits. Cabin equipped with everything we needed for 2 A 3 children tho in hindsight wish we had booked a balcony cabin to sit out on. Staff were so helpful in the booking process highlighting current deals and collocating our friends"

"The cockatoos are definitely the highlight, but they're very loud when they all start squawking, and they can be greedy & a little bossy with one another with food, but what surprised me the most when feeding them, was witnessing both the male & female resident magpies, (at separate times) swooping and pecking the cockatoos when they wanted their share of the food. The cockatoos were afraid of them.When we'd arrived, we were greeted by a very large kangaroo, in the dark, which was a little scary when he just stared at us, but he soon hopped away when he realised we weren't a threat.The host supplies everything you need for your stay, which I thought was very thoughtful, and I've stayed in a lot of airbnb's, motels & a few tiny homes over the years, and there was always something essential that they'd not supplied - so you won't be disappointed with this one.The shower is fantastic and the sheets, bedding & towels are perfect.The neighbours across the road are a little weird.The only things I think could improve is the beds, as they seem a bit old and worn (of course the mattress pillow toppers help.) A warning as to the cockatoos, how they can bite your finger hard, (for those families with kids) when giving them food. Better lighting, or some solar lights along the driveway, as it's very dark at night when the outside light hasn't been turned on. A grassed area out back instead of the stones and rocks."

"Pleasant place with large deck close to township with high window views in the mezzanine sleeping area of dawn light on the rock faces high up… Surfaces were sandy upon arrival. Small details could be improved: for example, the cold tap in the kitchen falls off in your hand; the washbasin faucet in bathroom is misting something so that water splashes everywhere. On the whole a good dog friendly choice although a little cramped if raining."
