"Room smelled musty, lots of cigarette smoke in the whole hotel, our room was not made up one day, towels were not changed 2/4 days , fridge was.broken, tv did not work all 4 nights, we requested an extra pillow the first night and never received it,toilet paper rolls were not refilled, hand soap dispenser was almost empty, SAFE was missing and when we told them they said the previous guest took it as they couldn’t open it, they brought a safe that was a handheld one about 6x9 inches, that you could easily walk off with as it was not attached to anything so we couldn’t use it for passports, valuables and money as it wasn’t safe. in room phone to reception did not work, the receptionist when there was one there..were nice but did not know how to contact manager owners ( or so they said) so we could inform of all these terrible things …. good location, pretty patio except for the non stop smell of cigarettes from the people below… definitely not a place we would return to or recommend "

"Amazing location within the walls of the palace. The hotel is right next to several ancient sites so if your plan is to see Diocletian’s palace and be close by to the city centre then this is an excellent location. The room was good and clean and the staff were helpful. The shower layout in our room was a bit odd (you had to hold the shower head as the holder was very low and could not be raised) and the breakfast was fine but could have been better. Had a great time and enjoyed our stay."

"Located in Diocletians Palace. A central area for tourist. Hotel was good value for money. Room was tidy and well mantained. Shuttle Bus service to the autobusni just 8 mins walking distance away."

"Great hotel, around 30 minute walk in to Split or a £5-£10 taxi ride. Amazing views, great breakfast choice, Beach area is also a great bonus. Hotel pool and spa are very good, however, be aware the outside pool was freezing in April - very early in the season - but most people were unable to stay in the water for more than a few minutes!"

"My daughter and I had a wonderful stay! Zoran greeted us. He was super friendly and made sure we had all we needed, even carried our luggage up the stairs, and down for us. Yvonna was also gracious and accommodating. Loved the staff! Breakfast was delicious and had all the options one could want. Room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Also the location was perfect, close to everything! Highly recommend Villa Split! "
