"My wife and I wanted to “slow travel” for a few days and found this place on VRBO. It’s a 100-yr old traditional coastal home.
It is directly across the road (there is a convenient tunnel under the road) from Zaimokuza and Yuigahama beaches and there is a bus stop right outside the door for a 15 min ride to/from Kamakura Station. The #40 bus is reliable and easy. Don’t bother with a taxi.
It is also a 15-min walk to the Enoden train, which follows the coastline and goes to Hase and Enoshima...
"We found our stay at WeBase Kamakura extremely pleasant. We would like to praise above all the very friendly and helpful staff including those at the reception desk and at the hotel restaurant. We found the room spotless clean and the beds very comfortable. We also appreciate the free services that the hotel offers including the public bath and the lounge which unfortunately we did not have time to fully experience during our short stay. The only minor suggestion from us would be for the hotel...
