Bear Creek Cabin 2 - 2 bed, 2 bath cabin, sleeps 6

This 2019 built, gorgeous 1,040 square ft log cabin, is located in the old mining town of Jardine. Jardine is 5 - 6 miles up a county maintained dirt road from Gardiner, Montana, the original entrance to Yellowstone! The cabin, along with our other three cabins, sits on just over 12 acres of property that borders national forest land.

The old Jardine mine site is part of the beautiful and unique mountain view, as well as being able to see and hear Bear Creek from your back patio! There are also beautiful hiking trails just a short walk from the front door!

If you are looking for a mountain get-away to be able to escape from the crowds after a busy day of activity in the park, then this is the perfect place for you!

Felt like home!

quiet location near north Yellowstone entrance

The drive up the dirt road is worth the stay at this fabulous property. Directly behind the property through a small wooded path is a beautiful stream. The beds were extremely comfortable and the apartment was well stocked with kitchen appliances.

Great spot

Coming from a city, we found this place to be a nice refuge surrounded by beauty. Well kept and super close to Yellowstone’s North entrance!

This cabin is beautiful and the most well stocked VRBO we have ever stayed in. I very much appreciated they offered shampoo and conditioner as I forgot it. They had any dishes & utensils you would ever need to cook as well as spices and even coffee because I forgot to get that at the store as well our first day. The Beds were so comfortable and I also had to look up the pillows to buy some for home. Listening to the Bear Creek River from the front and back porch every day was amazing. Well worth the trip up the mountain for the serenity and beautiful sunsets. We enjoyed a wonderful horseback ride adventure that was also up the mountain by the cabin at Hells A-roaring outfitters and a beautiful hike at the trail just down the block along the river. We used flying pig for our rafting trip & they were accommodating and funny and it was beautiful! We spent eight days here and we’re sad to leave but I am highly recommending it all of my friends!

Yellowstone Adventure

The cabin was a perfect 2 bedroom, really nice, just right for our family stay close to Yellowstone. The property is near the river and quiet. Our host Julie was really sweat and responsive to all inquiries. Really clean and had all the amenities needed for our stay.

Great Cabin on the River

Our kids and us loved the cabin. It had everything we needed and we enjoyed the BBQ grill on the porch as we listened to the river roar past us. We felt safe while also being immersed in nature. Thanks for letting us enjoy your cabin!

Quiet tuck away on bear creek!

A lovely clean cabin set off of bear creek. You can hear the rushing waters off the back deck and see horses in nearby field. Trail access is nearby and we enjoyed our hike which was quiet, secluded and beautiful. Great location for peace and calm just outside of north Yellowstone park entrance. Highly recommend.

Great Family vacation

Outstanding location away from town but only 10 mins to Yellowstone Park, beautiful cabin , comfortable beds , very clean and was a perfect base camp for our daily adventures to the park, Andrew and Julie made sure everything was perfect and gave us ideas where to see certain wildlife and places to fish. Also the drive to the cabin had beautiful scenery and lots of opportunities to see wildlife. I look forward to staying here again this time in the fall rut season.

Great cabin

The cabin was great. The managment superb .Only issue was the drive uo to the cabin will tear up your vehicle.I know this is not their fault but for that readon I would not return unless the road is fixed.

Peace on Bear Creek

This property was exactly as described. It was so peaceful. We thought the location was great for exploring Yellowstone and Gardiner. We enjoyed the creek running behind the property. The cabin was very clean with great amenities. The only suggestion would be for more or brighter lighting in the bathrooms and bedrooms, but this isn't something that would deter us from staying here again. Thanks for a wonderful home away from home for our stay!

Yellowstone vacation

The cabin had every comfort and convenience possible and we truly enjoyed the peacefulness of the location. We enjoyed listening to the sounds of the rushing river behind the cabin and watching the horses graze at the property across the way. The beds were so comfortable and much appreciated after long days of touring Yellowstone. Wouldn’t change a thing! Favorite part was driving down the hills to Gardiner and seeing the gorgeous views and wildflowers in bloom everywhere. We had so much fun!

Super easy booking and such a friendly, pleasing owner. Directions and checkin we a breeze. Aimee emailed multiple times just to make sure we wouldn’t have any trouble...and we didn’t. Cabin is fabulous. Couldn’t ask for anything more. Great beds, beautiful decor, even a babbling brook just outside to lull you to sleep Very, very pleased!

Lovely surprise

This was a last-minute trip for us, off to see another part of Yellowstone. This place was clean, nice-sized, cozy and just perfect for us. Off the beaten path, about 5 miles from the town of Gardiner, there are three other cabins in the vicinity, with the caretakers right across the street. We were the only guests, which was nice, but neighbors would have been OK too. The bed was scrumptious and I took off the pillow covers to see the brand--they were so comfortable I went online and bought 4. The house is appointed with top of the line decor. We'd definately stay again.

Amazing Spot

This rental is 5 miles away from Gardiner in a perfectly secluded little spot. The most amazingly comfortable bed…I looked up the brand of the mattress and linens immediately so I could purchase them! The aesthetic of the cabin is really perfect, rustic modern. The owners have provided everything you need for a comfortable stay. Both bedrooms have attached bathrooms which is a great design feature. We spoke with the property manager as he was walking by one morning. He was extremely friendly and helpful with giving us some suggestions for places to eat and a few local activities to check out. Such a wonderful rental experience, I highly recommend this property!

Labor Day Weekend Getaway

Absolutely incredible experience. If you are looking to book in the area....LOOK no further. Our plan was to have no plans. We booked last minute when we found this property had a small vacancy. Julie was fantastic to work with. Booking process was super easy, and she responded to questions almost immediately. Couldn't have been easier. Upon arriving we met Andrew the property host. fantastic host! Seriously, the most kind, helpful, and humble host you could ask for. The property itself is fantastic, and the accommodations are better than even the pictures. Two master suites on opposite sides of the house. My wife and I stayed with our son and his wife. We planned to stay for three days at a slow pace. We cooked in almost all meals. The kitchen has all you will need. The grill on the back deck is perfect for all grilling needs. The covered front and back porch made for great relaxation and conversation. The star gazing at night is top notch. We actually used the fire pit in the mornings while eating breakfast and sipping coffee. This is a great home base for Yellowstone adventures or any of the many rivers in the area if you want to do some fishing. Beautiful drive up to the property from Gardiner. Seriously, a great experience! Oh, and we turned the large TV on just once for a few minutes just to see if it worked. It does. :)

Would stay here again and again

After a long day of traveling, driving the last 10-15 minutes up the gravel and bumpy (really, it's not that bad) road makes you start to wonder if it's worth it staying just outside of town. It is! The cabin was lovely. So clean. Well decorated. Had all the amenities we needed - including a very powerful hair dryer, in case you were wondering whether to pack your own. Bed was totally comfortable.The owners were kind and very responsive. To us, it was less stressful to stay in one place for a trip to Yellowstone, but you probably could fit more in if you bounce around to be closer to different park entrances. Having said that, we did everything we wanted to do, and staying at Bear Creek, we saw quite a bit of wildlife driving to and from the cabin every day. A happy little fox greeted us on our way up, elk at different times, and a cranky badger scurrying along the road gave us a dirty look as if we were inconveniencing him. If you're okay with an extra few minutes of driving to be away from town, stay here! P.S. If you want to do a trail ride on horseback, Hells-a-Roaring Ranch is right up the road from the cabins. Many of the third party adventure companies in Gardiner contract with them to provide riding services.

Dream Cabin

The cabin is very well kept, very clean and the linens on the bed were so luxurious. The entire space was perfect!Washer & dryer worked perfectly. A very serene place to stay after a long drive. The night sky is amazing we could see the satellites moving and the start great picture moment for sure.100% recommended!

A dream cabin

Wonderful stay at a beautiful cabin. Clean, organized, decorated in mountain style. I only wish we stayed longer. We grilled steaks, made breakfast...everything was right there in regards to utensils and cookware. Seating for a family of 5 in the living room can be a bit tight, but we managed just fine. Thank you!

Excellent location and a welcoming cabin

The cabin was s log home that was tastefully decorated. Had all the amenities. Located away from the town and situated next to a river. Nice and quiet. The town was about 12 minutes away and had many restaurants and grills, access to rafting and horseback riding. Was only about 15 minutes from Yellowstones North entrance.We liked everything about this property and host.

All VRBO’s Should be this good!

This is one great VRBO. It is up a gravel road but that is one of the things that makes this great! You are certainly away from the crowds located on a beautiful stream. The house is equipped as well as any VRBO. The hosts also were the best with great communications and check with us once we checked in and when we were about to check out to see how we liked it this is definitely a 10 .
