This lodge has many great features and one quite bad. They have an excellent location to visit the Minewaska State Park (quite a few restaurants around), nice rooms, a beautiful backyard with some trails, and a decent included breakfast. The bad thing for us was the heating/AC, which is extremely noisy and (at least in our room) blew strongly straight into our heads while sleeping. Overall, it was difficult to sleep.

What a wonderful little find so close to the lovely town of New Paltz. Sitting in its own little valley with a cliffside overlooking the property, we felt like we were a thousand miles from the city. We will definitely back...again...and again.

Amazing location in one of the most beautiful areas in the Northeast! Mini Lodge is beautiful! Nice little hiking trails right on the property are magical. Our room was very comfortable and had views of the Gunks, as well as a beautiful grassy area with fire pits and yard games. Loved it and will stay here again!

Great location 10 minutes from dowtown New Paltz, but you are in the mountains at this lodge, friendly staff. Captures the mountain vibe. Very nice breakfast room and outdoor area out back with fire pits. Recommend getting balcony room facing mountain. Bedroom is nicely furnished, although bathrooms could use some updating. Overall a very good experience if staying New Paltz area

Loved the location, the room, the fire pits, and the food. Breakfast options were impressive and snacks remained throughout the day. Sitting by the fire pits was a relaxing way to end the day. The staff members were helpful and always available.

Nice location and very good overall experience. Noisy people above us and I’d asked for feather-free pillows but they were not. TV is challenging to operate, even with instructions. Donna in reception was very helpful and kind.

Nice hotel lodging property. Reserved a room with a deck. Unfortunately having a bed on a metal base, it squeaked every time we moved on it; basic getting up and laying down and shifting around the bed. Check in staff was excellent.

We had a great stay at Minnewaska Lodge. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well maintained. The breakfast was excellent, and there was so much to see and do in the surrounding area. A special thank you to Maggie, who was incredibly helpful with recommendations for activities, hiking, and restaurants. Her local knowledge and friendly service made our trip even more enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again!

Great weekend stay. Staff was a highlight. Hiking trails out the back were a low light, but great hiking minutes away. Very clean, quiet, and the Mountain Brauhaus restaurant across the street was killer for some traditional German food. If I could change one thing, it would be to add some parking closer to the entrance for loading and unloading.

We booked the cliff view with balcony room based on another reviewer’s recommendation and it was worth it to sit outside and enjoy the view. Decent room, nice breakfast spread for the fruit (including avocado) and yogurt crowd. Self parking with a couple of accessibility spots. There is also hiking trails adjacent to the property.

Breakfast was excellent for a continental breakfast. Surrounding area was beautiful. Room was comfortable. Bathroom was clean. History of the area is beyond fantastic. Where they lack is in sharing where to go to experience the incredible American history that the area affords - there should be material at the front and in every room sharing the history of the area and the incredible state and federal museums to explore! Do your research... Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity!!
