Wonderful Family Vacation

The location was perfect and the view was everything I hoped for. It was less than a 30 minute drive to all of the attractions in town. However, the cabin feels like you are the only ones on the mountain. We saw several black bears around the cabin, we didn't bother them and they didn't bother us.

June family vacation

The grill was out of propane though and we had some issues with a few of the toilets. Also we could never figure out where the thermostat was for the bottom floor so it was really cold down there. We couldn't get the projector to stay on or the ice machine. But overall everyone had a great time we made smores and hot dogs on fire pit.

Fun in the mountains!

Perfect for a large family getaway

The cabin was in good order, but you can tell it has had a lot of stays and is beginning to show a little wear. Wifi was very slow, so if you're planning on doing some work while on vacation, just go enjoy the scenery instead. We didn't use the gas grill, but the grill (as well as the deck) could use a serious cleaning. Would we stay here again? Absolutely!!!

Reviewer Comments: beautiful cabin with lovely view - Was disappointed in internet (as others have been). we rented with a theater room because we do karaote and couldnt with no service. Also was a dirty wash cloth and sock in cabin when we arrived. One kitchen chair was broken and a couple others we were afraid to use. also a broken light bulb in one of the lamps.We also had to wait almost an hour to check in at the property, and it wasnt waiting for maintenance or cleaning cuz no one else was there.

THIS IS THE SECOND TIME WE RENTED THIS CABIN AND WE'LL BE BACK AGAIN. THE PLACE WAS CLEAN AND WELL EQUIPPED. THE RENTAL COMPANY WAS ON THE BALL AND ATTENTIVE. THEY HAVE GREAT FOLLOW THROUGH. ONE OF THE BEST ASPECTS OF HEAVENLY HEIGHTS WAS THE FIRE PIT. THEY ARE FEW AND FAR BETWEEN. WE USED IT NEARLY EVERY NIGHT. GATLINBURG SHOPPING IS ALWAYS FUN AND NEARBY. THE SMOKY MOUNTAIN PARK PROVIDE BEAUTIFUL SITES AND WELL AS VIEWING WILDLIFE IN THEIR NATURAL HABITAT. MY FAMILT IS ALREADY TALKING ABOUT OUR RETURN AND WE WILL. A GREAT PLACE.

Wonderful Cabin!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a family reunion at Heavenly Heights. Everyone had a great time. Cabin is spacious and well stocked. If we go back to Smokey Mountains, we will likely rent the same cabin again. Couple of pointers. The lawn area around the cabin is very hilly. We brought volleyball, frisbee, and other lawn games, but there's really no safe place to play. The fire pit area doesn't have sitting like the photos - should bring a few lawn chairs. The wi-fi is so slow that it's virtually non-existent. We tried everything, different computers, not using wifi and just plugging in an ethernet cable, etc. but nothing helped. I'm convinced that the default speed is just that slow. Couple of us had work obligations, but we were not able to complete it due to the slow wi-fi.

Amazing Cabin for larger families!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: By far the most breathtaking views of any cabin in the Smoky Mtns. we have ever stayed at! The cabin itself is nice and spacious with plenty of room for our large family to spread out and be comfortable. The beds were also nice which is something that you always worry about when traveling. We rented this cabin to be closer to our wedding location in the National Park and decided during the stay that we will be planning an extended weekend trip to this cabin every couple of years due to how much we all enjoyed the stay. The property management company also in my opinion was the best in our experience from pre-arrival communication to check out day communication. Extremely prompt responses to any questions we had and also very helpful with needed information like how to work the TV room projector screen and what not! They were proactive in sending out communication like that so we already had it when needed which was very nice! I will wrap up this review by saying again that the cabin has plenty of room not just inside but also ample parking outside for several vehicles if multiple cars are going to be arriving which was our case. If you are looking for a true location for the best VIEWS and most amazing relaxation then book this cabin. We had a bear visit us the first day of arrival and a family of bears visit us on Day 3 of our stay. No damage to any of our vehicles took place and you can tell they are used to walking around freely throughout the cabin yards. AMAZING EXPERIENCE to be able to share with our grand babies they will remember forever!

Multigenerational Get-Away

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were a group of 8, which included 2 seniors, 4 adults, and 2 teens. The home was perfect in size and provided plenty of space for seating at meals, relaxation, beds, and bathrooms. There could have been more seating on the lower deck, but the upper deck had plenty. The house was clean and prepared upon arrival. We did have multiple maintenance issues arise during our visit. The rental company was fast and thorough in their response, but it was disappointing to have multiple issues arise. I would say that we didn't feel that it was "luxury"...the cabin bathrooms and kitchen need to be updated and the sheets and towels were not luxurious at all. The kitchen required the dishwasher to be replaced while we were there, the microwave sounded horrible, and the stovetop was cracked. There were no soup spoons or teaspoons, only large serving spoons. The grill is tiny for a home that holds so many people. We did use most of the amenities...the hot tub, fire pit, theater, and pool table were big hits!! (Note, there was no chalk for the pool cues.) The living room furniture was very comfortable, as was the upper deck furniture. No one used the spa tubs indoors. For future travelers: there are two - one in a floor 2 bedroom and one in the bunk room in the basement (which we found odd since that was the "kid" room.) The driveway is plenty big enough for multiple vehicles. I would note that there are no railings for the internal steps going up to the two upper bedrooms or down to the two lower bedrooms, game room/theater, and hot tub. This did pose difficulty for those with mobility challenges (which was not our entire party, but something to note for future guests). Overall, I would absolutely recommend Elk Springs because they were so easy to work with every step of the way, from reservations to check out and everything in between. I would recommend Heavenly Heights, if you are in need of multiple master bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked with ElkSprings Resort for the second time because our first stay was amazing. Our second stay was lack luster. We did the normal thing and ran through it real quick to explore like I'm sure everyone does and we noticed a few things. The bath tub was dirty in one of the upstairs rooms. The breaker tripped in the first hour or so of us being there. The freezer door handle was barely hanging on by the bottom screw. The same refrigerator had a problem cooling and would freeze constantly. The central A/C unit would freeze over (couldn't put it below 70° anyway because it was programmed that way). The lamp shade was torn in the living room. The pool table felt was old and the bumpers on there were rock hard. The floor isn't as level as you'd like it and that's everywhere in the cabin. The cover for the light in the game room fell off while we were playing pool. The MASSIVE amount of lady bugs that made it through our room which was the only one that was infested with them. The wifi was terrible. It connected but the download and upload speed were literally zero. Reception is not good if you're with Verizon. T-mobile had a little bit.After all that "bad" stuff, the good was really good. There was enough space for whatever we needed. All the furniture was very comfortable. Plenty of silverware and a keurig was there was well. The view was just as awesome as our first time around and we could do nothing but sit outside and love every second of it. The people are always there when you need them and come out to help as soon as they can. Even though we had minor inconveniences, this won't deter me from booking with them again. The fact that no one was ugly about any problem we ever had, they made sure to fix it immediately. They are always top notch people and the whole process of booking with them is everything you could ask for.

Great Spot Near Gatlinburg – Just Needs a Tune-Up

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great stay overall—this cabin worked really well for our group. The location was convenient, about 20–25 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg, and it felt private with lots of parking, which was a big plus. The road and drive are quite steep – so keep that in mind if booking during the winter months. We loved the layout of the house. There was plenty of space, bathrooms, and towels for everyone. The kitchen was well-stocked with plenty of dishware, a large coffee maker and a Keurig, which was a nice touch. One of the features we were most excited about was the theater room, but unfortunately, the sound system was a bit of a letdown. The speakers aren’t the right wattage for the Sony receiver, and every time we turned it up, it would go into protection mode and shut off. We had to switch it to 2-channel stereo just to get any audio. Luckily someone in our group knew how to troubleshoot it, but considering this is one of the cabin’s key selling points, it would be great to have a system that works reliably without needing an expert to set it up.A few other areas could use some attention. The grill was way too small for a cabin that sleeps so many people, and we ran into some plumbing issues (though those were resolved quickly, which we appreciated). The downstairs bathrooms could really use a deep clean and some minor repairs, there may be mildew or mold, and the light above the hot tub and some of the hot tub jets were not working. One of the blinds in a downstairs bedroom was broken and couldn’t be opened. It also would’ve been helpful to have some basic cleaning supplies available, like a broom and kitchen cleaner, just to help keep things tidy during the stay.None of these things were dealbreakers, but a little maintenance and a few thoughtful additions would make a big difference.

Old & Crusty!

We moved into the cabin on a wednesday evening only to find that one of the upstairs had no power. On calling maintenance they were able to send someone who fixed it. The cabin was old and dusty. Bedcover and pillows looked like they have not been washed in a century. My son has dust allergies and he was miserable throughout our stay. We had to shift him in the basement room since it was the only one without an old carpet and better bed linen but the basement tub was clogged and filled up when he tried to shower. The kitchen dishwasher had a broken seal and leaked water when we ran it. Had to report that as well. The views are great but they could spend some extra money on cleaning and updating the amenities. Won’t recommend.

Not luxury as described.

The only thing luxurious about the property is the space. The property is poorly maintained (loose/broken doorknobs; loose/missing cabinet hardware; non working lamps; broken down furniture…. The list could get long if I took the time to include all). Check in was after 7 pm because we had to wait for it to be cleaned. Which was NOT clean. It is time for a deep cleaning- light and pictures are caked in dirt/dust; no sheets on 4 of the beds ( with comforters from pictures on bed so I have the impression these aren’t changed often; cigarette butts in buckets- fake eyelashes and hair ties from previous guests on bathroom counter—again could make a long list. The kitchen is minimally stocked- only 8 plates/ bowls for a cabin that sleeps many more so bring your own paper products. The communication is fine and fairly quick during the reservation process but when we were having trouble- they don’t answer the phones or texts requiring email only communication. I can’t adequately express our disappointment in this cabin. We travel often and have stayed in many locally in the past but this is by far the most dirty and least luxurious of all. ,During the booking process we read many good reviews. It was only after our issues that I read Yelp reviews and saw how many others have the same issues. It is sad that this cabin has been so neglected. Disappointed overall and am now looking for somewhere else for next years family stay.

Heavenly Heights Cabin Rental

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The views were breathtaking, the cabin was clean inside and out. They even had it decorated for Christmas. The provided every cook utensil needed. The only thing I would recommend is more lighting as you’re coming up into the driveway at night. I suggest the cleaning crew to get the dead ladybugs up before guest comes and dust for the spiderwebs. Other than that the stay was a 10/10!
