Wonderful hotel, room is spacious and clean. Bathtub in the center of the toilet. Just be aware the toilet uses a curtain to cover up. Bed was cosy with options to request for different types of pillows. located in the center of town. Shopping malls just across the road. A great location will be definitely go back again. Oh and the door man named Vignesvaran provided excellent service and very helpful on how to use the automated carpark system.

Wonderful hotel in great location

Great hotel in convenient location. All the staff spoke English and were very helpful. They didn’t serve breakfast at the hotel but offered free shuttles to various locations. Hotel is walkable to lots of markets, shopping mall and sights.

Stayed here 3 nights in the new wings. Highly recommended for tourists who like to visit Georgetown city core, Walkable to everywhere except to the beaches in Batu Ferringhi. Automated tower Parking is included the suite room.

Budgetly “Luxury”

The hotel is located in the town centre and is around 10-15mins walking distance to surrounding tourist spots and eateries. We stayed in a spacious Deluxe suite which can easily accommodate 4 persons. There’s abundance of TV channels provided which is a bonus. Beds and pillows are definitely comfortable. Need to pay a couple of hundred for deposit when check in, so don’t forget to take it back. The 2 bottles of water are not free. Somehow our Deluxe room is in the adjoining high rise building and you need to walk across the carpark entrance to get into the building, my major concert is the security , although outsiders don’t have an access card, but they can still follow you into the lift and go up, and I noticed that the security guard at the car park entrance doesn’t really check on people entering the lift lobby. The other minor issue is the quality of their maintenance works, it seems they could be more attentive to details of their work, it’s not that these will affect the quality of staying, it’s just looks odd having things like toilet seat and sockets are installed crooked/ misaligned in a so called “luxury” hotel, not to mention that the furniture are not high end “luxury” stuff. Front desk and staff are friendly and helpful 👍👍. Overall we had a pleasant stay, I would definitely recommend to anyone travelling to Penang.

Hotel lobby is spacious, inviting and pleasing. Room is new and in excellent condition, also very clean. Hotel location is great as you can easily walk to popular eateries within 10-20 mins taking into consideration traffic jams during peak hours. However, do note that only suites come with a coffee machine which is not welcome by me as I need my cup of kopi o kosong to start my day. Otherwise, it's a great place to stay for your vacation!!

We had a perfect 3 night stay at the Granite. The suite is an amazing big suite and beautifully decorated in traditional colours. The bed is super comfy and large. The location is perfect and walking distance to all the streets art and other attractions. The rooftop pool is making and great views over the city and the roof top bar, just tops it all. I can highly recommend hiring a tuk tuk bicycle ride at night. We had the best night with our rider taking us round the street art through little India upto the sea front. It really made our stay in Penang perfect. Go up the hill also, we spent over 5 hours up the hill and loved the walks and cooler air. Our only regret is we didn’t have longer in Penang. Thank you Granite hotel and Penang we will be back some day.

They should drop the word luxury from the name, it isn’t luxury, but it is good, good location, safe, clean, friendly staff. Breakfast was free so ok, but I wouldn’t pay for it. Room was large, plenty space. We had no toilet paper, had to go and ask, but they brought it up. Mugs and glasses were provided, but no way to wash them, and they weren’t replaced at all during our stay The rooftop bar was disappointing as it is quite expensive. Go next door to the Wembley instead, bar is higher and prices much more reasonable.

Front desk staffs are not helpful. The room is poorly maintained. Thin walls, you can hear everything going on outside. Housekeeping staff is not diligent in cleaning room or even replacing fresh towels. Forget about accommodating guests early check in request, checking guests into their room on time is a feat they cannot accomplish. We had to wait 45 minutes in the lobby after being turned away due to “no room available”.

The room sizes are big with room amenities such as water, tea, coffee and bathroom necessities are provided. There was even a microwave in the room and water filtration system in the hallway. Two air conditioners....one for the bedroom and one for the living room makes the place cool and comfortable. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. This place is well situated and close to a shopping mall and within walking distance (around 10 min) to main tourist sites.

Loved the welcoming drink and 'freezing' cold towel to cool us down at the reception when we checked in. Room was very spacious and clean. Also appreciate the complimentary teas and coffee. We only drink coffees in the morning and we stayed 3 nights but there were only 2 pods so we had to ask for more for the next day. Everything else was great. Appreciate that they offered free shuttle to a few places of interest. Staff was very friendly & helpful.
