The hotel is convenient to what we need to do in town. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Although our room was comfortable, it's time for a carpet refresh - there was something gritty throughout the entire room - had to walk around in my socks.

The staff was great and the hotel is clean. Good workout room for a hotel this size, but needs cleaning wipes available. Some maintenance needed, especially plumbing. Light filtering shades for bed rooms need to be blackout shades.

Recent visit

It’s an older property The first room the tv didn’t work, they moved us and the toilet leaked in the second room. The breakfast buffet is excellent, and the service was great.

Everything was good. Service was very friendly and cooperative. The kierig in our room made a mess. It didn’t puncture a hole in the bottom of the cup.

Nice, but pricey for room

We paid $153 for one night. We had one TV, the telephone didn't work, no bed sheets for the couch bed, and 3 sets of towels for 5 people. I contacted Hotels.com for a discounted rate because I would expect at least 2 TVs, one in the bedroom and one for the couch bed. But I'm still waiting for a decision from the hotel manager. The amenities looked nice, the beds were comfy, and the staff was pleasant. However, i don't think I'll stay there again for more than $80.

There for a wedding.

The toilet was loose from the floor and rocked. The chair in the room would not stay at the adjusted height. Tile in the bathroom was coming off the wall. The bath tub shower floor was slippery and needs a nonslip surface. The breakfast and the hotel staff were excellent.

Staffing struggled. One amazing woman, Mariah was all by herself that morning getting breakfast served and running the desk. She was friendly, kind and helpful. The water dispenser was broken but she found bottled water for our breakfast. She is the reason for my good rating.

There were not many hotel options in the area for us to spend the night while we attended a wedding. This was the closest one to the venue. The room was clean but did not come with some toiletries we're used to at other hotel chains. The internet was fine. We didn't get to use the pool or the gym but, both looked fine. My biggest concern was with the staff at the front desk. When we arrived, the lady's attitude was not the best. No smile, no "welcome to the Holiday Inn Express". Just a: "checking in?" Later that evening, we went to the convenience area to buy bottled water and when we couldn't find any in the machine, we asked the lady and she said: "We ran out", with this careless look on her face, as if it wasn't important to have drinking water for your guests. There wasn't any other form of getting drinking water in the entire hotel, so we had to get in our car and drive to the closest gas station to get water.

Be Courteous

Nice, clean, & comfortable. Just didnt appreciate housekeeper opening door, withput knocking, an hour before check out while i was still in bed & undressed. I was told that they were having over 50 checkouts that day. That is not my problem or concern or a reason to invade privacy.

4/10 Poor

Area that the hotel is located was nice and convenient. However, service from the staff could have been better. When we got back to our room from being gone most of the day, it had not been serviced by housekeeping. So, I had to call the desk for assistance. The side entrance door access pad wasn’t working, which was an inconvenience for my Mom who has some physical challenges. Also, the universal remotes used for the TV do not work properly.

Checked in and room we reserved was not available and was upgraded to suite. But then got in suite and bathroom was not clean as floor was very dirty and sticky, counter was dirty and toilet seat was not stable . Moved and looked to be missing a screw to hold in place. Then in refrigerator was not cleaned and had a very bad smell coming from . Opened a realized something has spilled and had not been cleaned. Staff was nice and helpful but needs a little help with other conditions . Has pool but when we checked out could not see through water so cloudy . Was a definite no go for us.
