"I'll start by saying that I'm not a comfortable complainer. I also don't like to leave generally negative reviews, but I can only speak as I find.
I've spent a month touring Europe alone on my motorbike so I've spent a lot of time (and money) on various styles of hotels with varying price brackets.
First the positives - front of house staff were friendly and the view was main selling point.

"The hotel is in a great location in the middle of the town. Easily walkable to the castle. It has its own free parking in a lot a short walk away. (Initially we didn’t know this and found parking tricky on a busy Sunday afternoon).
Our room was really spacious, with quality furnishings and a big bathroom. It was a little old fashioned, but in a charming way.
Dinner on the terrace was a highlight. The food, service and atmosphere were great. It’s clearly a popular spot.

"Beautiful property. Very quiet and peaceful home next to an old castle. Location is convenient for day trips to Bitburg, Trier, and towns in Luxembourg. Great cafe in town for coffee and breakfast. Traditional German dinner in town is a must. We did daily shopping at the Netto mart. Backyard is comfortable. We sat outside until the sun went down every night."
