Wonderful stay in Gjirokaster

We had a truly wonderful stay at Hotel Kalemi. Staff were delightful, kind and went above and beyond and we enjoyed the local doughnuts provided at breakfast and the freshly made eggs in the morning. Highly recommended!

Superb hotel in Gjirokaster.

Was upgraded to the second hotel of the group in the city. Only problem was it was hard to find, because a road was closed. A hotel employee found my car and took me there. Great service!

Genuine and beautifull

Fantastic place but hard to find in the small narrow streets. Very genuine and beautifully both inside and outside. Nice, helpfull and friendly management and personel. Highly recommended

great value for money

Room was exactly like a picture. 250 years old, with many original details. Very cozy place with a fantastic view. They served tasty and home made dishes for breakfast on balcony on top, again with beautiful view. Free parking. Positive experience.

If you want to see a traditional Albanian home that is now a hotel this is the place to go to. The staff are wonderful! Beautiful outdoor area for relaxing or having a drink. It’s a truly magical place. I’m definitely coming back!!

Authentic and stunning views

We stayed 1 night in a triple room. The room was a good size, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was also good and offered a good variety including made to order eggs. The hotel is a short walk from the old Bazaar and offers amazing views of Gjirokaster, we could see the castle from our room.

Beautiful little boutique hotel . All furnishings are set in a traditional manner. Beautifully renovated bathrooms for modern conveniences. The view from the room or balcony is stunning. Staff is friendly and helpful. Walking distance to bazaar, a large variety of bars, cafes, and restaurants and of course the castle. I highly recommend this quaint little place.

Fine for a night or two

Spent two nights here. It's a beautiful old ottoman house. It's located near the bazaar which is where everything happens in Gjirokastër. Like all over Gjirokastër it's up a very steep hill. Our taxi driver from the bus station couldn't drive up on the first few attempts. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast is fine. It's served in the garden. Each table receives a tray of tea, coffee, juice, bread, jam, cucumber, tomatoes, cheese and watermelon. There is then an option of eggs cooked to order. Didn't have much interaction with the host. He confirmed the time of the bus to Berat and ordered a taxi to the bus stop.

Excellente adresse

Magnifique séjour dans un hôtel typique. Belle et grande chambre, personnel très sympathique, parking gratuit, très bon petit déjeuner que l'on peut prendre sur la terrasse ombragée, et à proximité du centre sans être trop proche pour ne pas subir le bruit.

Schönes Hotel in bester Lage nahe des historischen Zentrums, auch zur Burg ist es nicht weit. Das Haus selbst ist sehr schön und hat einen großen Balkon mit Blick auf die Stadt.
