We pulled up and I had to double check the pictures to make sure we were in the right place. Went into house and there was a bad odor. Walked in a little further and there were dirty dishes in sink, toilet brush on a bed, and it was apparent that someone was staying there. We quickly left the house and message the host from the car. No response. Someone pulled up beside my car and rudely asked if she could help me. I explained that we had booked the house and she said she never got a notification but if we would give her five minutes she would have it cleaned up. Really??? Five minutes to CLEAN a house, change bedding, wash dishes and sanitize?? We politely told her no thank you and left. I finally got a refund but only by talking to someone at VRBO who managed the property. The first person I spoke with told me that the booking was non refundable. I will always book through another site from now on. Better properties and better service
