The inn is close to town, walking distance. They have a restaurant behind the inn that offers burgers, sandwiches and some dinner selections. Service was nominal at the restaurant, not overly friendly. I actually felt like they'd rather be somewhere else. Rooms were clean, but pretty simple. No TV, which I dont watch anyways. No coffee bars except for at breakfast. Maybe they were short staffed, but it seemed that there was never anyone around the front desk to help with anything. It actually seemed like there was no one around, except in the kitchen. It was a decent stay, and I dont regret staying there, but kind of expected a little more to offer than what I recieved.

Friendly innkeeper and furry friends. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway with a relaxing vibe…this is the place. Sitting by the river watching the sunset is truly magical. The included breakfast is a gourmet delight! Pet and family friendly.

Amazing pit stop on our road trip!! The most pet friendly stay I have ever had! Ms. Pam was an excellent and attentive hostess! She made us a wonderful, hesrty and healthy breakfast. The restaurant/tavern in premises was super cool with great service and amazing sandwiches! Have an adult Dr. Pepper! They have three kayaks for river fun!

The Inn on the River is centrally located in Glen Rose's historic downtown, so rather than being in a hotel on the noisy Hwy 67, you get a more relaxing stay. The Inn is also a quiet oasis because its property slopes down to the Paluxy river. Its restaurant and bar are another nice feature. If you travel with a pet, then you can find a no more dog-friendly place than The Inn on the River.

Amazing staff and stay! The room was very cute and clean. The location is the best being directly on the river and walking distance to everything in town. The homemade breakfast every morning was amazing. So convenient that there is a restaurant and bar on site that makes great cocktails. Owner and staff were very accommodating to request and needs. Looking forward to returning.
