"Room was clean, but had shower over bath with curtain, rather than walk in style. I would’ve preferred a kettle to boil water for tea rather than use coffee pod machine in room. Staff friendly and helpful, but not all able to speak fluent English - understandable as Quebec is French speaking - but good to know this beforehand. Hotel is close to Ottawa (10 min taxi ride to CBD). Buffet breakfast on offer was a nice selection of fresh fruits, cereals, hot foods, breads - additional charge but I thought was worthwhile, and there were no nearby alternatives to go to. Would recommend to solo traveller - I felt safe staying there."

"You get what you pay for. The property was basic, the area is rough, and the floors have this weird smell. The rooms were ok - bring flip flops or slippers. The shower curtain had red stains which I can only assume is blood. Bring your own soap because the one provided was a very thin bar of soap. The breakfast is pretty decent - I’ll give them that. I won’t be staying here again."
