"This was our second year at Balsams on the Betsie. Three generations, 14 in all, and it was just lovely! The large screened in back porch is everything. Quiet mornings listening for birds, a perfect morning coffee setting.David provides 4 kayaks and this year for sure, they were well used. The large kitchen island makes food prep easy, and a great place to offer buffet style meals.Thanks, David and Kim for providing a great cabin for our family’s Christmas in July."

"Wonderful place, close to lots of fun activities! The house is perfect for a getaway. No issues at all, and host was easy to work with. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay at a place within driving distance of sleeping bear dunes, traverse city, and crystal mounting is right down the road!!"

"There was a miscommunication with the cleaning crew but it was resolved quickly as well as the AC unit (due to extreme heat in many states) The owners were attentive to our needs and did everything to make our family gathering comfortable and memorable. Much appreciated was the fans in all the rooms and use of two kitchens. Thank you again, we would definitely recommend Ed’s place ."

"Very clean with plenty of beds. It is a great location, quiet and secluded yet not too far away from other activities. 20 minutes to Arcadia beach. 5 minutes to Iron Fish distillery which was awesome. Bring mosquito spray, they are heavy. Also Brring some boots if planning to access the river from the property. The stairs go halfway down to the river and then it is very muddy after that especially the last 10 feet near the river bank. Not sure if it is like that all the time or just weather related. Much easier river access down the road at the bridge."

"This is a great place for two couples or a family. The view is great, the amenities are terrific. The hot tub was hot and we did not use the canoe but it looked great. The host answered every question promptly. We would stay here again."
