Great family getaway

Grandparents enjoyed spoiling son, daughter-in-law and 5 grandchildren with a weekend at Smith Mountain Lake. Great weather, boating and lake house on the water.

Men’s Bachelor Trip

Me and 7 of my friends went on a trip to this property for my Bachelor Trip. The house was the perfect size and able to sleep all of us and even more… The private dock was also a plus.

Perfect family getaway!

Perfect location to relax with our kids and grandkids—swimming, fishing, and campfires all in the front yard. Plenty of room in the farmhouse for big family dinners and spacious bedrooms for sleeping. We’ll definitely try to come back!

Spacious home….plenty of room for the kids to play inside and out. Enjoyed the fire pit and fishing by the dock. Will definitely try to make it back here!

Fantastic!

2nd stay here, love the front porch, back porch, large dock is great for hanging out! Kitchen needs a few more pieces of silverware and bowls for serving, but another great stay! The water is perfect!

Family weekend

We loved the location, it was perfect! The old farmhouse was spacious and had enough room for everyone. Morning coffee on the back porch with the amazing view was beautiful. Would recommend however some updated furniture for the house other than that it was perfect. We will definitely recommend this rental for your lake getaway.

Generational family vacation

We had 3 generations staying at this home. The walk up and down the hill to the dock was not bad. Easier then other homes we have seen with many steep stairs to the docks. The dock is great for relaxing and swimming off of. The porches were also perfect for gathering and spending time together. We really enjoyed our stay.

We had a great stay in this old farmhouse ! The house was clean, the view was amazing the boat dock and lake was awesome. We all had a great vacation! The only complaint we had was the grass needed to be cut

Father’s Day Trip

We enjoyed SML & the house was quaint. I would recommend the owner’s to at least set you up with the kitchen necessities such as Dish soap, salt & pepper, a small tide. I’ve found that helpful at other properties we have stayed at. Overall nice trip & a beautiful place!

Lake & Farm

Great property with perfect views and lots of lake activity. Easy drives to grocery store and Bridgewater area. Quiet at night and plenty of outdoor room to play and relax. Keeping on the favorites list!

First Time on the Lake

I loved this cute farmhouse, especially the back deck! It was very clean and well kept. I would recommend this little farmhouse to anyone who wants to stay on the lake for the weekend or longer. The owner was extremely helpful and got back to my inquiries in a timely manner. We definitely will come back again!

Excellent quiet farm house

This house was really good we had a group of 7 boys it was a nice quiet break for the weekend the boat dock was really nice to fish off of and we docked our Supra and bass tracker there definitely bring bumpers for the dock because the water gets a bit choppy but other than that very nice house placement is perfect far enough from the marinas it’s quiet but it’s a short boat ride to the bars the house was clean and very comfortable highly recommended thank you all

Cool old house

Very well cared for old farmhouse. We only ended up staying one night due to illness in the family. Boats were loud and constant but we got used to them. Host was strangely stingy with supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, etc. Kitchen was very well stocked for cooking.

Good, easy stay

This is a great property. Enough space for everyone. Only thing I would change is the weather ;) . we could have used dish soap, extra toilet paper, and paper towels- we ran out of toilet paper, and paper towels and and needed to purchase ourselves. Otherwise, good for a short stay! Nice outdoor room for kids to run around!

Anniversary Trip

We had 4 couples stay at the Farm house for a few days. Everything was clean when we arrived! Beds are comfy and there’s lots of room in the house. Of course the best is outside! Great deck with a wonderful lake view is perfect for all times of the day, but especially coffee in the morning and grilling dinner in the evening. We really enjoyed fires in the pit down at the lake and really appreciate that there are no long steps to get to the dock. There’s still a hill of course, but it’s not bad compared to some of the stairs other houses have on SML. We will definitely come back again!
