Weekend Escape Venue

The hotel is 30 minutes from city center with car. No access with public transportation. It stands next to a lake and have a very nice natural environment. The rooms are small and most of them not have view. The breakfast was perfect.

The public areas are lovely - the space in front of the mansion, the breakfast/restaurant room with amazing views over the lake. It has lots of history, and the lobby is typically Swedish in its effortless cool. The room was a little less impressive. For the cost it was basically two adjoining conference rooms with very little in the way of comfort, and a very small, disappointingly dated bathroom. The view from the window was pleasant enough, over the road, but the building was incredibly poor in terms of soundproofing. The crystal clear sound of the resident above in the midst of his extraordinarily long urinations was just one of the sounds we really didn't need to hear. Again, the public areas in these buildings (all conference spaces) were well-furnished and geared up to team-building, it would seem. I would imagine there are a lot of such events through the year, and in July, when most businesses in Sweden are not operating anywhere near capacity, the hotel has more 'regular' guests. It would be good if there was a little more effort made for these guests, given the lovely location of the mansion. It is what attracted us, but really, what we got was an hour of that for breakfast, and a 1980s/90s conference space for the rest of the time. There wasn't even an outside space in our 'block', although one block did have one. That would be a pleasant and easily made addition to each block - the rooms are pretty small, so anything extra would be a bonus.

Vårt rum var smutsigt, dammigt på golvet, gamla hårstrån och döda skalbaggar mitt på golvet. Skulle även vara trevligt att inte bli direkt avvisade med att vi inte hade någon plats att äta på då vi inte hade bokat bord på middagen. Detta sades till oss utan att vi ens hade frågat. Det kändes inte som att vi var välkomna och vi fick känslan av att de som bokat bord var mer prioriterade än resterande gäster. Det kändes inte som att man lagt ner mycket tid på omgivningen kring annexen, där det stod stolar och bord. Det var nedgånget och växterna igenvuxna. Svårt att sitta där. Lacken hade lossnat på stolarna och rev upp våra kläder. Installera tak- eller golvlampor. Det var mörkt och obehagligt i vårt rum. De sänglampor som fanns där gav knappt något ljus. Dörrhandtaget till toaletten var sönder och även duschfästet. Vore nog bra att göra en grundlig besiktning av rummen då vi hörde andra som nämnde liknande fel. Tydliggör att man inte får bo i själva huvudbyggnaden utan i sidobyggnader utan hiss. Vi bodde på tredje våningen och hade ingen aning om att hiss saknades. Vi förstod inte heller att vi inte skulle bo i huvudbyggnaden. Efter att ha kollat på er hemsida i efterhand kan vi fortfarande inte hitta någon information om detta.

En fantastisk perle. Hotellet er meget velholdt og ligger fantastisk smukt. Der var forskellige udendørs spil og bolde man kan benytte og underholde med. Morgenmaden var fantastisk og der var rent overalt.

Toppen mysigt och trevligt. Den enda nackdelen var planeringen av våffeljärnet. Det stod bredvid den varma maten vilket gjorde att man kom inte fram till den när gästerna stod och väntade på gräddningen av våfflorna
