Fantastic hotel

The oldest hotel in Gothenburg, and there’s a reason it’s still succeeding today. Fantastic friendly service, nice rooms and plentiful breakfast. Great Fika too. Would definitely recommend, good central location.

Staff made me feel comfortable as soon as I walked in the door. Although the room is pretty small, the hotel is exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and staff were uniformly great. Breakfast was excellent. I would stay here again if I could. Andreas at the front desk was particularly helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Highly recommended.

Gem of a hotel

The location couldn’t have been better as it’s easy to walk to many restaurants and shops with the train station, trams and buses close by. The hotel building has character with plenty of period features, spectacular staircase and eclectic style. Our room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. Breakfast was plentiful with a good selection. We also really appreciated the drinks and cake in the lounge. It was lovely to sit in a comfy chair and relax after a day’s sightseeing. Staff were always friendly and helpful

A fantastic stay but as an old hotel, there can be white a walk to get the room so bear that in mind if you have mobility issues. You also have to leave your key at reception any time you go out and ask for it back every time you come back in which is unusual but the desk was always staffed so had no issues there, it's just something to keep in mind. Lovely coffee, tea, hot chocolate and cake available in the lobby and at breakfast. Very helpful and I'm knowledgeable staff. Five minutes walk from the train and bus station.

From the warmest of greeting when we arrived until checkout we were made to feel really welcome at this hotel. We loved its uniqueness and the afternoon tea/coffee and cake was a delightful touch.
