We really love the character of this house. The rooms were bright but cozy. We had a king size bed in our room and slept great! Close to Can Andel Arena where we saw Linkin Park and Grandson! Great night!
We stayed the night to record a Drew Hale’s Christmas album at Dogtown studio. The house was centrally located to everything we needed to do. We enjoyed our stay immensely. The home was spacious and clean, the beds were comfortable and we would definitely stay here again.
This house is absolutely GORGEOUS! Everything was perfect! The amenities were all available and worked, the location cannot be beat and is super close to local shopping and eats, everything was amazing.
Stayed here for my daughter's graduation from GVSU. Beautiful historic home in the East town neighborhood. Great restaurants in a walkable distance and a short drive to downtown GR.
Came for a concert. It was great to have our group together! Very clean property with very accommodating host. Don’t forget to have breakfast at Wolfgangs.
The house was absolutely beautiful, very clean, and it was comfortable. Our only vaguely negative is maybe label the switches, but we also had fun playing the "which light does this go to" game so it really wasn't an issue. The hosts were extremely prompt with replies and were very helpful. I would definitely stay for a longer period if the opportunity arose.
Great property, close to great amenities, just as described. Clean, cute, and served the purpose for our needs. We just needed a place to rest our heads overnight for an event at Van Andel Arena and were on our way the next morning. The hosts were great and helped us find a local pizza delivery and responded to communication right away! I highly recommend this property and we were grateful for the peaceful stay.
This home fit our needs perfectly during our weeklong stay in GR. Its location is wonderful—loads of shops, restaurants, and beautiful neighborhoods for walking.
The house is sweetly decorated and had everything we needed in the kitchen. We enjoyed cooking and baking with the vintage stove! We enjoyed evenings on the porch and mornings in the unique front sunroom. Lovely!
Cannot say enough how much we enjoyed our stay at this gem of a home… be willing to lean into the charm of this old house and you will love every minute of your visit. The home is gorgeous, the beds super comfy, and the location is gold. A quick walk and we were at the Fulton market; a short drive and we were able to enjoy downtown Grand Rapids and the unexpected bonus of experiencing the ArtPrize Festival. The host was so responsive and accommodating, it made for an awesome birthday celebration. May Ling, thanks for putting so much love into your home and sharing it with us :)
The house was clean and tidy. We were there to just sleep and not entertain.
I would say that for our family preferences, we’d stay in a more quiet area of the city. This part of Grand Rapids while charming is busier than we expected.
This is no fault of the host. Her description of the home and what was included was spot on. It is an old house but VERY charming and cozy.
Lots of great coffee shops and eateries nearby etc.
Good value and stay overall.
This property was spacious and light-filled. It has 3 bedrooms (we only needed one) but it was nice to have a large living room and kitchen for a light breakfast each morning. One issue was the bathroom which really needs an update. The shower needs a lot of work - I had a difficult time getting the hot water turned on - the handle needs replacement. The water pressure was really low and the mat in the tub should be replaced as well as the bathroom rug. Neither looked very clean. The shower curtain was too small and did not go around the shower rod which made taking a shower a bit chilly. The only other issue was the driveway - it should have been salted and the steps to the entrance shoveled. It had snowed, melted and refrozen - walking into the house was treacherous - very slippery, especially with handling luggage and waking on thick ice.
Nice location, close to downtown and a lot of restaurants and activities. The house was bigger than expected and it was fun to see the character & antique touches of the home.
