Yes, the series of initial stairs to climb to the lobby is typical of old Europe, but the staff had immediately warned us as soon as we had made our reservations. "Was upgraded to a newly refurbished partial port view room. Staff were efficient but not very warm had to ask for a printed map. Buffet breakfast was expensive better value to head to lovely square the road behind the hotel which offered lots of options. Hotel was a very convenient location and would stay there again. "
