HENDERSONS in Gravelly Beach

HENDERSONS is a beautiful, homely federation home, situated along the lovely Tamar River in Gravelly Beach. The heart of the Tamar Valley Wine Region, Northern Tasmania.

The original part of the house is over 100 years old. We originally renovated in 2014 and we chose to keep some of the unique characteristics with our own decorative touch. We hope you love Hendersons, just like we do.

Our home is perfect for all seasons. It has a cosy, warm feeling in the cooler months & in Summer it is light, fresh & airy.

When booking, the whole house is exclusively all yours. It is great value, offering a huge yard, front and back, along with one of the main features, the pool. It is an excellent location along the Tamar Valley in Gravelly Beach.

Hendersons home has a large living area perfect for a comfortable stay, offering 4 couches. The dining is in a separate room, offering the afternoon sun. It is a bright sunny space seating 8 comfortably. The breakfast bar is close by and the kitchen is easily accessible, with the essentials at arm’s reach for your convenience. There is a brand-new oven & electric cooktop perfect for those who wish to make their own meals. We have also recently replaced the benchtop, sink and splashback. We provide a dishwasher and a Nespresso coffee machine with pods. There is also a large fridge & freezer.

The view from the front verandah is just gorgeous, overlooking the palm trees across the road along the Tamar River. It is a perfect spot for making memories and watching the sunrise with loved ones.

Hendersons has 4 spacious bedrooms housing a total of 9 guests with a mixture of both hard and soft mattresses to suit most. Bedrooms 1 & 2 are at the front of the house with views of the Tamar River and facing east, waking up to the morning sunrise.

Bedroom 1 has a king-sized bed, TV & DVD player. Bedroom 2 has a queen-sized bed and a TV. Bedroom 3 also has a queen-sized bed and bedroom 4 has a double bed and a single bed.

For Winter, all bedrooms have heating. Bedrooms 1 & 2 have a heat pump each and bedrooms 3 & 4 have panel heaters. All beds have electric blankets and extra blankets are available if required. This will keep you nice and cosy. There is a heat pump in the lounge room as well for your comfort.

For Summer, air conditioners are in bedrooms 1 & 2 & in the lounge room as well. They are a reverse-cycle heat pump, so make sure they are on the correct symbol setting.

The house has two bathrooms, both with heat lighting & fans. Bathroom 1 has a separate toilet and bathroom 2 houses the laundry. A washing machine and dryer are both provided for your convenience.

Our large concrete swimming pool is perfect for the Tasmanian Summer. It is approximately 12m long x 4.5m wide and ranges from 1.6m in the shallow end to 2m in the deep end. Please note the pool is ONLY solar heated, therefore the temperature of the pool is up to the unpredictable Tasmanian weather. The pool is available for your use all year round, but please note we only run the solar heating from October through to March as that's when it's most effective. For optimal use, we suggest using the pool between the months of December to February, where Tassie's overnight temperature helps maintain the warmer water.

We also provide some pool games, noodles and equipment for our guests to enjoy. It is a saltwater chlorinated pool. Children must always be supervised.

We are perfectly located on the Tamar Valley Wine Route. Enjoy the scenic drive where you'll come across several cellar doors. We can suggest a few cellar doors if requested.

The property is on the main road in Gravelly Beach and vehicle access is off Hendersons Lane. Parking is at the rear of the property. There is secure parking for 2 cars. If extra parking is needed, it is available upon request only, as we have designated areas.

Hendersons is approximately a 25-minute drive from the CBD of Launceston & approximately 40 minutes from the Launceston Airport.

A short walk down the main road is a family-friendly park, boat ramp, basketball court and skate park - you'll be sure to have some fun. Perfect for kids to play on the equipment, or if you're a boating fan, Gravelly Beach is great for skiing and other fun activities.

There are two cafes, Rivergrass & Paperbark, just a short walk down the road from Hendersons. A General Store/Post Office and Homewares/Giftware Store "My Tasmanian Home". It's best to please check their opening times directly on their social pages.

Exeter is around a 5-minute drive from our property. It has two IGA grocery stores, a Bottleshop/Pub, Butcher, Café, Wine Centre, Takeaway, Information Centre, Fuel Stations and more.

Legana is approximately a 12-minute drive. It has a large Shopping Complex with Woolworths, BWS, KFC, Banjos, Tavern, Bento, Butcher, Fuel station plus more.

A couple of things to note when booking:
1. The whole house is available when booked for your stay
2. Price is based on two guests only - for more than 2 guests, it attracts a fee
3. Depending on the number of guests staying, the price will change to reflect this
4. Nightly price and the minimum night stay vary, too, depending on the time of year.
5. Parties & events are not welcome - if failure to acknowledge our rules, guests will be evicted immediately
