"Cozy cottage with very good water views. Limitations: only 1 bathroom located downstairs from bedrooms and hill we had to navigate when going to/from our car parked 30-40 yards away."

"If you're looking for a historic home with beautiful yard & kitchen, views of the water, and convenient access to Castine, this spot is wonderful. Host does live on property in attached building and there were several unexpected rules like quiet hours & no access to heat or fireplaces (September gets quite chilly at night!) which made the stay feel a little less special. However, overall great experience and an excellent choice if looking for local historic flavor in Castine."

"This place can’t be beat if you’re looking for a quiet getaway with views of the water. I went with my husband, 4 month old son, my dog and my parents. We had plenty of space to spread out, cook meals and enjoy peace and quiet. We couldn’t do much hiking this time so it was a bonus to be able to walk around the neighborhood with the stroller (and to Tinderhearth!). We did a quick walk down to the water which was also beautiful. Dave was very communicative and addressed all of our needs right away. We hope to be back next year!"

"A very sweet cabin. Not luxury. But. Has everything you may need. It is furnished like your great aunt Nana's summer cabin. Books and games are in the shelves. Kitchen is tiny and adequate for a cabin. You won't make a turkey dinner here, but it is all good. We will be back"
