Summary:
This detached house stands on steel supports in the middle of the horse pond, right in front of the historic Hexenburg. It features a three sided terrace with a grill and is surrounded by horse paddocks and the Hexenburg riding facility.
The property is fully equipped with amenities such as a dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer, and a private bathroom with shower and toilet.
The Space:
A virtual tour of the accommodation is available on YouTube under the title “Hexenburg bei Dresden.”
The tiny house offers double beds on two sleeping lofts, accommodating up to four guests. The sofa area can be converted into an additional sleeping space, allowing up to six people to stay, although in a relatively compact space.
New: Our wood heated barrel sauna in the courtyard is now available. It provides a perfect opportunity to relax after a hike in Saxon Switzerland or a busy day in Dresden.
Pets are not allowed in this tiny house. Guests with dogs should book the Tiny House by the Pond or the Tiny House between the Ponds instead.
Optional services: bed linen €10 per set, towels €5 per set, barrel sauna €15 including wood and cleaning, firewood €1 per log (guests may also bring their own).
Please note: The “pool” mentioned in the description is a natural pond with a reed belt. Water quality may be insufficient during the summer months.
Important notice: The four sided courtyard and outdoor areas are not yet fully completed. Some building wings and all exterior areas are still under construction. This has been considered in the room pricing.
Guest Access:
The entire property, including the two ponds and the riding facility, is generally available for guest use. Access to the stables is only allowed after prior consultation with the horse owners, and guests should not pet or feed the horses.
Riding lessons or trail rides can be booked directly through the riding center.
Guests also have access to a washing machine and dryer at the Hexenburg courtyard. The fee is €5 each.
The Neighborhood:
From the accommodation, many attractive destinations can be reached easily. Recommended day trips include visits to Dresden, Stolpen or Pirna, as well as to the Saxon Switzerland National Park. The Lusatian Pond Landscape Biosphere Reserve and the Spreewald are also ideal for varied excursions.
If you prefer to leave the car behind, you will find plenty of opportunities to relax right outside your door. The surrounding nature, the horses on the property and the picturesque ponds invite you to unwind and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
Getting Around:
The region offers a wide range of excursion opportunities: Saxon Switzerland with its distinctive Elbe Sandstone Mountains, the Lusatian Heath and Pond Landscape Biosphere Reserve, as well as the cities of Dresden, Pirna, and Bautzen. Prague is also within easy reach, less than two hours by car. There are countless options for day trips and sightseeing.
Other Things to Note:
For environmental reasons and to keep costs manageable, the listed prices cover only the overnight stay. Additional services can be booked directly with the host if desired:
bed linen €10 per set, towels €5 per set, electricity for the sauna charged according to usage, cleaning of the sauna and whirlpool €7.50 each per stay, firewood €1 per log (guests may also bring their own).
As check-in is contactless via a key safe, it is essential to send a digital photo or scan of your ID card.
Please note: The four sided courtyard is not yet fully completed. Some building wings and the entire outdoor area are still under construction. This has been taken into account in the room pricing.
