Foodies can't go wrong choosing this place! The hotel's location is basically a culinary hub—within walking distance, you'll find traditional snack streets in the old town as well as trendy creative restaurants. It's also super convenient to head to Yongqing Fang or Shamian Island for meals and shopping, and when you return in the evening, you can unwind in the hotel's cozy tea lounge. Plus, the rooms are modern and well-equipped, and the service is genuinely thoughtful.

The hotel is located on the Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street, with very convenient transportation. It is a very distinctive hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The environment is very nice, with free tea and water. The view from the upper floor is very beautiful.

The staff were very courteous and available. And the subway, where you can go for a walk to yongvillage and sasha. The rooms are modern and clean, and at the top is a tea room with night vision equipment. Guangzhou is a real tourism day

For my first trip to Guangzhou, I really wanted to experience the authentic Xiguan style, and choosing this place definitely didn't disappoint. The hotel is tucked away in an old street, full of character. Following everyone's travel tips, I spent the day taking photos at Yongqing Fang, explored Shangxiajiu for food and shopping in the evening, and ended everything perfectly with a pot of tea on the rooftop. A perfectly planned day!

Business trip to Guangzhou, and I managed to squeeze in a mini-tour while here! The hotel offers free Wi-Fi and a cozy work area—perfect for wrapping up tasks. After work, I just step outside, and within five minutes, I’m at a time-honored local eatery treating myself to some comfort food. A stroll under the arcaded buildings (qilou) after dinner felt like a proper little adventure. Skipped the hassle of rushing to tourist spots—efficiency and relaxation, all in one.

My first trip to Guangzhou has been fantastic, especially with this hotel! Its location is absolutely unbeatable – I enjoyed morning tea at Guangzhou Restaurant and explored Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street in the evening. The best part? Whenever I felt tired, I could easily return to my room for a quick break. The staff were incredibly helpful too, enthusiastically recommending unique local spots around the area.

Alright, let me tell you about this hotel – it totally won me over. The service was so warm and the rooms were spotless, which made me feel right at home. But the real kicker? I loved my stay. I was with my toddler and the staff was extremely accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure we were ok and well taken care of. Breakfast was good and there’s also lots to do in the area, very walkable and lively. Highly recommend!!

This was actually my second booking at this hotel, and I’m happy to say the experience was just as good as the first time. The staff were, once again, incredibly friendly and helpful - they even allowed an early check-in, which I really appreciated. The room was clean, comfortable, and free from any cigarette smell, which is a big plus for us. Breakfast was included and generous, and the overall service felt consistent with my previous stay. Just like before, the small lane leading to the hotel has a bit of an odor, but once you’re inside, it’s quiet and very comfortable. The location is super convenient, right in the middle of a walking street with easy access to food and shops. I’d definitely recommend this place and will keep coming back whenever I’m in the area.

This was a beautiful place with great staff. It’s clean and quiet. It’s affordable yet had all the basic amenities. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The inn is next to the largest business center in Liwu. Everything is at your doorstep. It’s a mix of old and new Guangzhou which I really enjoyed and appreciated. I would definitely recommend and come again.

The staff here were really amazing. They let us check in early, which was super helpful since we were traveling with kids. The room was clean and, most importantly, didn’t smell like cigarettes like other hotels in China - something I really appreciate. When the room we booked wasn’t ready yet, they upgraded us for free, which was a nice surprise. Breakfast was included and quite generous. The only small downside is that the hotel is located on a walking street, so the view from the room isn’t great. Also, the small road leading to the hotel has a bit of a bad smell sometimes. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made everything easy. I’d definitely stay here again.

This is a very stylish boutique hotel. You go through a small street to enter but presently surprised with a welcoming lobby. Rooms are more on the modern style. Our floor has the Bruce Lee theme and decoration. The laundry room and the gym are a bonus. Rooms are clean. Hotel location is very convenient.

Compact comfort in a good location

The location is extremely convenient, situated on one of the most well-known streets in the city. It’s close to the French neighbourhood, and the tube station isn’t too far away. The room is tiny, just as shown in the pictures. If you don’t speak Mandarin or have access to Chinese streaming services, the projector won’t be of much use. They have a very convenient laundromat that’s free of charge, and it’s usually not too difficult to find a machine available. The gym is as small as the rooms, but hardly anyone uses it, likely because there’s no air conditioning. Breakfast is the same every day: fried rice, noodles, eggs, chips, some fruit, and so on. Complimentary toiletries and two bottles of water per day were provided.

Convenient location with good amenities, but room cleanliness and smoking policy need improvement The hotel has a convenient location and offers a good breakfast, along with a nice bar on the property. However, the overall experience could be better with cleaner and more well-maintained rooms and bathrooms. One major issue was the lack of enforcement of the no-smoking policy. I was woken up by cigarette smoke coming from someone smoking outside my room on the second floor, which was very unpleasant. It would be helpful if smoking were strictly prohibited in public areas and near guest rooms to ensure a more comfortable stay for all guests.

Great value for a 3-star hotel and the staff were very helpful! I stayed here a few times in November during my month-long China trip. The majority clientele are international tourists because you can easily reserve on 3rd party websites, and is located in a convenient location - Guangzhou's Old Town (Liwan). Very close to attractions in Old Town, shopping, food, and cheap DiDi rides to anywhere in the the city. Includes breakfast which has a good variety of items, free laundry service, and was very convenient to store my extra luggage while I went on overnight trips outside of Guangzhou. Walking distance to the original Tau Tau Ju restaurant for dim sum and Nanxin for the city's best steamed double skin buffalo milk dessert. Just a few things to be aware of: The staff knows limited english, but the use of translation technology makes communication easier. Some rooms have more wear and tear than others, but overall are fairly clean. No big deal for me since I was only there to sleep. Shower is over the toilet. The twin room is loft style where you need to climb steps to get to the second bed, and can be cramped with 3 adults, or if you have more than 3 large luggages. About half of the rooms faces an alleyway or the adjacent buildings so there will be no views or sunlight. To avoid this, request a room that is at a higher level and towards the back of the building.

Hotel was cozy. Nice daily cleaning to keep room clean. Elevators were a bit dirty and dusty due to renovations. Can be cleaned more consistently. Front desk was always helpful. Location was great, especially if you like shopping. Comfortable stay overall!
