Top Gugyoji Temple Hotel Reviews
Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo Ikebukuro
10/10 Excellent
"Room is way smaller than our last stay, just wonder whether is it because I qualify for free night stay with hotel.com which ends up to a smaller room. A bit disappointed cause our last stay is much nicer"
Tokyo Dome Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Very clean and very helpful, luxury"
Mikami Asakusabashi Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The staff were super kind and helpful. I stayed in a female only dorm and my capsule bed was clean and came with a little shelf, outlet, and place to hang clothes and the blackout shade was a plus. There were small lockable lockers for valuables but large luggage had to go under the bed shelf or on the floor. Floor space was a little limited especially when grabbing things from my suitcase though. Bed comfort was average but it was definitely not sound proof as I could hear people rummaging around and talking but that’s typical. Location is right next to the subway and the Sumida River which is a plus. Bathrooms were accessed through the dorm which is a plus so you don’t have to go into the hallway. They were also very clean and came with free towels, hairdryers, and toothbrushes. Bathroom could get a little crowded at certain times but for the most part it was good! Laundry machine was in the bathroom too."
Hotel Metropolitan Edmont Tokyo
10/10 Excellent
"Stayed 3 nights at the hotel in a standard room. The room was small by western standards but was very well appointed and had everything a couple would need. We stored our large suitcases under the bed and it worked out well. There was a desk area and mini fridge as well as a variety of places to store other items. The room appears to have been recently redone and there is plenty of lighting. The bathroom was a good size with a tub and shower combo. The hotel is in a great spot, located on a quiet side street 1 block from a major street. There are 2 JR train stations located a 5-minute walk in either direction. There is also a Family mart directly across the street as well as a 7-11 one block away. The Imperial palace national gardens are about a 15-minute walk while Tokyo station is a 40-minute walk. Ikebukuro is 15 minutes by subway. The hotel is great if you want a budget friendly choice (but more upper-class experience) away from the tourist crowds but still have easy access to everything you want to see and do. There is a restaurant on the main floor as well as a well laid out laundry area/lounge complete with vending machines. It was cheap for a load of laundry and the machine locks with a code, and you can watch its progress on your in-room TV. The staff were great, facilities updated and overall, a great experience. We would highly recommend."
KOKO HOTEL Premier Tokyo Bay Makuhari
10/10 Excellent
"Very clean, stuff helpful and the breakfast buffet was delicious."
APA Hotel Keisei Ueno Ekimae Minami
8/10 Good
"Excellent location, better than I expected. A few minutes walk from train and metro stations, markets, restaurants and bars. A big plus for skyliner service from Narita. Although situated on a busy street, inside hotel is very quiet, no disturbing noise. Staff are very helpful and attentive. Good sized and comfortable bed, adequate shower. Only minus was no drawers provision for clothes, only a few hangers. I would certainly recommend for a first time visit to Tokyo and would stay there again if competitively priced with other hotels in area."
Asakusa Tobu Hotel
8/10 Good
"This hotel is close to everything- station, shops, Sensoji temple. Its location is very convenient. Staff was very helpful during check-in. Breakfast was excellent."
Tobu Hotel Levant Tokyo
10/10 Excellent
"The rooms a small ! So if you’re offered the upgrade do it ! Get the breakfast daily is great the staff in the restaurant is good and food clean and fresh !"
MONday Apart Premium Ueno
10/10 Excellent
"Great location for a family with young to teenage children. Conveniently situated in between a 7 Eleven and Lawson for 24hr accessibility to all the immediate necessities to fill up the in unit fridge. Short walking distance to a local 24hr full grocery store to get supplies for those home cook meal nights. Ueno station is a short flat walk providing you access to all the major destination points in Tokyo via the JR green line. Overall extremely happy with the room, sky tower view, staff attentiveness, in unit laundry machine and kitchen. Would recommend to anyone looking for a more local vibe and who might need a mental break from the overstimulation of other parts of Tokyo."
