Great place for a family beach getaway

My husband, 2 kids (2 and 6), and in-laws all stayed here very comfortably. The home is well appointed, we didn’t feel like we were missing anything. The pool was the highlight- my 6 year old wasn’t a huge fan of the beach, so we spent most of our time there. Really nice amenity and made the trip for us! Bonnie and Lisa were super friendly and helpful, quickly resolving any issue we encountered and making sure we had everything we needed. The neighborhood was nice, and the golf cart parade on the 4th of July was fun! Having a golf cart to rent from the owners on property was super convenient. Watching the fireworks on the beach on the fourth was just the icing on the cake to our wonderful week. The private beach access was very convenient, and the beach was never too crowded. We really enjoyed our time at Bonnie Dunes.

The perfect getaway!

This home was a great getaway for Spring Break! The home is super clean and spacious, the beds were comfy, and it was so great to have a private pool available for those red flag days when you can't swim in the ocean. Communication was great, too! Lisa was helpful and friendly, and it was great knowing that she was available if we needed. The deck was our favorite spot for morning coffee and sunshine. The neighborhood was peaceful, and it was an easy walk to the ocean.

Absolutely amazing!

This year was by far the best family vacation we’ve ever had. Our 2 boys who are 6 and 2 thoroughly enjoyed everything this year about the beach and the pool. This was the nicest beach house we’ve ever stayed in and we will definitely be booking again for next year.

Family Time

Beautiful beach cottage. Kitchen stocked well with dishes and cooking utensils. Make sure you rent a golf cart to get to beach access. The pool was another great place to relax at.

Gulf Vacation

The house is beautiful and great location to beach. The pool was where we spent alot of time. We didn't realize copper heads live close to the beach and saw several near pool area and that side of yard so please be cautious if you have pets or small children. Great trip over all.

Relax

The property was clean, spacious, and decorated very tastefully. The pool may not be large, but it’s big enough for the kids to play, and the adults to be able to relax. The sand in driveway was a nice place for the kids to play. The owners and manager were extremely attentive and quick to respond to any questions from prior to booking through the stay. Great place

Perfect

This property is fantastic. Our family of 5 plus one additional adult were more than comfortable. The more remote location kept us away from the large spring break crowds and allowed us to explore some of the most beautiful private beaches in the area. Jessie's restaurant is must! Be wary of the ferry to Dauphin Island when it breaks down or stops running for the day it is a FULL 2-hour drive back! Everything was perfect, the communication, the accommodations, the neighborhood, and the beach. Highly recommend!

Another great stay!

My family (me, hubby, and pre-teen child) stayed at Bonnie Dunes for the second time this Spring break. The house was clean, comfy, and beautifully decorated. The kitchen has very nice appliances, and all the extras you need. We loved snacking and eating breakfast around the large island. The large covered porch was a favorite place to relax and read or drink coffee in the mornings, listening to the birds and waves. The large lot size and trees makes you feel very private even in the middle of a neighborhood. The neighborhood beach never felt too crowded, and when we got tired of sand, it was fabulous to have our own pool to relax and play in! We love this house, and hope to stay again next year!

Perfect.

This was the most perfect beach house. I have been to several, and this has been our absolute favorite. We are big cookers & we’re very pleased that we had everything needed at the house. Our favorite being a crockpot :) there is a grill provided, the house was emaculant. Very short walk to the beach with beautiful views from the house as well. Bonnie was amazing & was willing to help accommodate with anything we needed. The porch is amazing & we got to sit outside to enjoy coffee ☕️ I’ve already asked if I can rebook this house before I even checked out for another stay this year. It was cozy & comfortable. We loved that there was also a table as we are big card/dice players :)

August get away

We had a wonderful time at the house and the beach. Nice quiet location that we were looking for. House was perfect. The listing needs updated as the view from the deck is not anything like the picture shows as you cannot see the Gulf of Mexico due to all the builds since the picture. Also getting to the beach is not as easy as following the walkway behind the house. The is a road that leads to private property and we were reminded fed daily we were not allowed to walk through the property to the beach. Going to the access location. Is too far of a walk and leads to crowds.

Amazing

We loved our stay with Bonnie Dunes. The home was immaculately clean and conveniently located close to the beach. We walked a short 2 min path behind the house to a beach path or you have the option to rent a golf cart, kept on site and drive to another beach access point, which is only a 6 minute walk or 2 minute golf cart ride. The AC kept the house extremely cool and was welcome after those hot July beach days. The beds were cozy and comfortable with nice linens. Bonnie Dunes is decorated so perfectly with the beach theme and perfect beach vibe colors. The furniture inside and out are perfect for a large family. We had friends over in the evening for a low country boil and the outdoor furniture was perfect for our crowd. Beach equipment kept in the storage shed truly came in handy as our beach canopy was ruined by the wind and we had a back up option on site. I loved that we could bring our potty trained lab to this dog friendly home. The home was so clean you would never know it’s dog friendly. If you are looking for a great family location for your next trip, book Bonnie Dunes. You won’t regret it.

Family beach trip

Bonnie’s beach house is very nice. Our favorite part of the house was the front deck. It’s spacious and the furniture accommodated all of our family. The house was very comfortable. The beds were very nice and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Communication with the property manager and owner began early. They are quick to answer any questions. I asked a question about the bedroom located in the sun room area and was told that it had been renovated and contained a set of bunk beds. We needed the three beds advertised in the ad so they offered to add an extra air mattress. I then asked about the golf cart rental and where it would be driven to and they explained the beach access and that it was a short distance down the street. That wasn’t made very clear in the ad so Bonnie offered the golf cart to me for a lesser amount. That was appreciated. The ad made the property look like the ocean and beach could be seen from the deck and the beach and that is not the case. The pictures were taken several years ago and now several houses have been built blocking the view. There was a disconnection at the electrical panel and the electric flash on and off but they were quick to send over an electrician and it was fixed that day. Overall our stay was great. The neighbors is very nice and the property managers were readily available and addressed any issues we had.

Fantastic house, but not close to beach access

We had a great stay. The house was perfect for our needs. My mom has some mobility issues and was able to get around without issue. The house is very well kept and has plenty of parking available. The only issue we had was that the beach access is not close to the house. I would say it’s at least 1/2 mile away (total guess), not in walking distance for most people. The listing and previous comments made it seem like the golf cart was included in the rental but be aware that it is a separate rental agreement and additional charge. We ended up renting a 6 person golf cart from another company for the week and it was fine, but there was some confusion regarding this. The other thing to be aware of is that the WiFi is pretty slow. Movies would often pause to buffer and it was difficult to pull up internet info. If someone needed to work from home, there would probably be some issues. It was wonderful having a private pool and being able to bring our pup with us. The communication with lisa the rental manager was so easy and she responded in a timely manner. We were there when a woods fire broke out Less than 2 miles from the house. Lisa even stopped by to let us know that there may be a possibility of having to evacuate but someone would be in touch if that was necessary. Overall, the house is fantastic, communication is great, the neighborhood is peaceful. Just make sure to rent a golf cart for beach access. We would definitely rent again!
