"As a very new building, the hotel was clean with no signs of wear. Rooms were large by Tokyo standards. The breakfast was mostly Western, with cereals, toast, pancakes, an assortment of breads, juices, smoothies, yogurt, sodas, scrambled and poached eggs, various veggie dishes, bacon, sausages, hash browns, German hot potato salad, scalloped potatoes, french toast, quiches, salad bar, and various salads, with coffee, tea, and water (I've probably left out some things here...). Most of the staff spoke English and were helpful (although rules like meal times, check-in and check-out were absolute; early check-in or late check-out were charged by the hour at 2000 yen/hour. The front desk has a large glass translation panel, and an assortment of travel needs, coffee pods, tea, etc. that are available to pick up. There were area maps and transit maps in the lobby, along with tourist info. There is a small ground floor cafe with beverages and pastries, but the 2nd floor restaurant is only open for breakfast and lunch. There is a large supermarket a block away (west), as well as both Lawson Station and 7-Eleven next door. The Kachidoki subway station (E-17) is a 5-10 minute walk away to get to anywhere in Tokyo. The hotel location is both a plus and a minus: plus because unlike most of the city, there is a lot of open space and parks; minus because it is a new and fairly sterile district, with few shopping/restaurant options."
