"The Culvert is an atypical hotel accommodation. The cylinder shaped cocoons are clean and fun to stay in and the staff is very friendly. This is an open air concept with everything, except you room, being outside. Premises are located on a hill which means a lot of stairs - and they are no longer in perfect condition. "The resort is dated but it does correspond to the price bracket. It is more chalet than hotel. Staff in the restaurant were great. The fried rice is excellent. The beach is clean and we had starfish sightings."

"Room was clean and a good size. Sheets, towels provided. Reception staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful - and were excited for us to see the best of the city and surrounding area. Extremely convenient for many attractions of the city - right on the waterfront, and almost directly opposite the Assembly buildings. Chinatown is just behind - with many delicious options for food.
