Hostel is quite a way out of Haarlem and next to a busy road but on arrival we discovered we had been given a room at the back facing the park - much appreciated as 4 cyclists on a cycle/touring holiday.
Lovely friendly staff . Had some snacks from the bar and there was a lovely brazier to sit around in the garden .
Met some friendly Dutch and Americans.
Breakfast adequate for our needs .
We love the shower. It is convenient place for we only stay overnight.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Nice for a 2 night stay, it had everything we needed and the included breakfast was nice. Our room had a broken window and the toilet room smelled odd. Other than that it was a great price for the property.
The location with free parking was excellent. We used the bus stop across the street to ride into the heart of the city amd back. The ride was enjoyable and we took in the architecture and sites. Downtown we shopped, and had a drink and baked goods and enjoyed more incredible views. We had a room with private bath and shower and two bunk beds for the four of us. The breakfast was good with many selections of beverage, fruits, cheeses, meats and breads. You will make your own bed and towels are rented for a couple dollars per person. The drive to Schipol airport was not bad at all, however we allowed ample time and drove off peak.

Disliked: Cleanliness, room comfort
Our first hostel experience was positive, but a bunk bed isn't for me anymore. I could see this as a good route for families and younger singles, though.
