Good mid-tier ryokan to stay at! We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and size of our room. Shuttle was available from train station to and from the property depending on time.
The bath on the balcony is a serene and memorable experience. The noodles at night are also great. The entire experience is designed to make you relax-- no matter how busy you are.
Off the beaten path slightly so prepare for a little walk from the train station or get a cab, but they do have a shuttle to get you to the train
Went for the onsens and wasn’t disappointed clean and peaceful the surrounding area was easy to get to with great food options around would stay again
Mizunoto, was amazing! Great stay with a great atmosphere, amazing food and great onsens to try! 3 private onsens are first come firsts serve, but there are public ones as well to use! Great experience overall!
Outstanding value and ambiance. The dinner and breakfast were equally excellent in quality and quantity. The property is somewhat secluded but it makes for a very peaceful retreat. There is a great brewery just a 10 min walk down the road.
We had such a lovely relaxing stay, perfect after a week of walking round Tokyo. Beautiful peaceful balcony with our own bath - and managed to visit the private onsen too. Staff were lovely - would definitely come here again!
The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The onsen is lovely, clean and warm.
It is an easy walk to the Hakone Open Air Museum which is fantastic.
I would definitely stay again.
The room was by far my favourite on the entire trip. It was comfortable and spacious and having access to sauna and baths on site was incredible. Wish I had stayed longer
We had a wonderful stay at this ryokan. The staff were exceptionally attentive and welcoming throughout our visit, making us feel genuinely cared for from arrival to departure.
Our room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. Both the public and private onsen facilities were outstanding and were among the highlights of our stay. The peaceful atmosphere and quality of the amenities made for a very relaxing experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would gladly return. In fact, our only regret is that we did not stay longer, and we would definitely plan a longer visit next time.
The rooms were very spacious and clean, alots of amenities- tea, coffee, yogurts, ice cream, complimentary snacks. The private baths were included in the hotel price. The evening meal was a great experience and delicious
Perfect place to relax with beautiful views from the room’s balcony. They have a shuttle bus to and from the train station. Staff was very helpful. Food is very traditional and plentiful. We have enjoyed the private onsens.

I wish we booked more than one night. It was truly a relaxing experience that was unforgettable
Beautiful spa, nice location within walking distance to hike in woods with waterfall and hokone open house museum, it was nice to have room with private onsen when traveling with kid to access lower bath temperature, onsen is very hot for kids. Food was a bit tricky for young kid from Sweden but a 7/11 is nearby to complement the hotels food, amazing food for grown ups
Our one night stay here was amazing and the location was great. The free robes and toiletries was a great touch. The rooms felt very Japanese and our balcony view was great to wake up too.
As a travelling family of 7, the children absolutely loved the Hakone Open Air Musuem, which was a short walking distance away.
The free shuttle bus service offered by the property to the train/bus station was really helpful too.
Enjoyed the large rooms! Love the private onsens! Traditional breakfast and dinner superb! Great accomodation with free shuttle pickup at station and return is very helpful! We will return.
Cozy ryokan with a traditional japanese feel. Location is good near Kowakidani station to take you around Hakone area. Shuttle bus available from hotel. We liked that the ryokan was a bit away from the ”main” hotel areas of Gora/Hakone-Yumoto, tucked in in the forrest but still it was easy to get around.
Very nice hotel facilities & calm / relaxing atmosphere. Perfect to recharge batteries between the intense big cities.
We enjoyed the private onsens (rarely fully occupied) and the traditional kaiseki dinners. The room was amazing, clean and with own private bath and a nice interior.
The service of the staff is great and they really put in an extra effort to try to give you the best stay possible.
