Very close to one of the HappoOne gondola bases, easy walk. Near many decent restaurants and ski shops.

Pros: - 2 min walk to gondola & chairlift - free parking the back - friendly staff - staff mostly English speaking foreigners Cons: - building is rather old and creaky - could be cleaner - microwave on 2/F of shared pantry has mold growing in it - no hot water kettle, TV, safe in my room. - breakfast options limited

Very cute hostel style lodge. Beds were traditional Japanese mats on the floor but we're surprisingly comfortable. Dry room in basement convenient for storing cold weather gear/ski equipment. The staff was super friendly and helpful - I left an electronic device and they mailed it to my next hotel! The location was great super convenient for skiing Happo One. The staff also helped us find great food and shuttles to other ski slopes. Would stay here again no doubt!

ALP Lodge

We really enjoyed our stay at ALP Lodge in Happo. We had a nice twin room with plenty of space to spread our bags out. The bartender was lovely and always willing to offer advice. Very convenient location with a 1 minute walk to the Happo Gondola or Free Happo Shuttle Bus stop. Would definitely recommend ALP Lodge to anyone wanting to stay in Hakuba.
