The accomodation was perfect for a solo ski trip to hakuba. The location is alright, a shuttle bus bound for happo one leaves right next door. Most restaurants and convenience stores are within a 1km walking distance. The room was clean and comfy, although a bit old. Shared toilets bathrooms. Hosts were really kind and helpful. Be prepared to reserve time to find restaurants in the evening especially in Jan/Feb. Most restaurants were fully booked for a week in advance and walk in restaurants had long queues

I arrived to Happy Talk before the check in time so I dropped off my luggage around 12:30pm. I was in a hurry to get to Happo-ike pond by the cable car. At the end, the own drove me from Happy Talk to the Happo Gondola station so I could start hiking ASAP. That's very kind of him to do that 👍👏😊. His wife offered me an apple as a snack the following day. Yes, Happy Talk is a bit outdated but I was treated kindly. I would recommend this place to everyone.

The owners were lovely. Made an effort to chat and help out during the stay. The room size was also great for Japan, featuring two single beds and a couch (I was travelling solo). Unfortunately, the thing that will stop me from ever going back was the smell. There was a broken urinal in the men's bathroom and it made the entire place smell horrendously. I went to the supermarket to buy a big can of deodorant to use every time I walked through the place. Sadly no amount would fix the bathroom though. The place is very old and consequently it just doesn't feel clean at all. Hakuba itself is very spread out. The bus stops are all over the place, the timing is highly irregular and missing the one or two close stops means a 10-15 minute walk to the other ones. Make sure you get your hands on both of the bus schedules. Took a couple days to understand this.

Property was good, the man running it is genuine and has options for returning home late giving guests a night key to return home. The male toilet had a very bad smell as if the drainage wasnt working, was pretty gross every time to.use the toilet to smell it. Other than that its a great place to.stay

都市街に住む者にとっては温泉までは雨でも雪でも歩かなければならないのは、想像より負担が大きい。シャワーで済ますという人にはこの上なく良い宿だと思う。 オーナーさんは良い人だし、ケトル・電子レンジが使えるというのもありがたい。総合では☆４です。ありがとうございました。

Very relaxing property that has a great vibe, hosts were super helpful with everything from maps and advice, to snow rental.. even took me to pickup my snow gear :) If your looking for an easy, chilled place to stay in a great location, this is it. Be sure to check out Cherry Pub just around the corner.

大変親切に対応していただきました。次の日の唐松岳登山もバッチリ登頂できました。早朝に出ることもでき、近くに美味しい中華料理もあり、近場の温泉も最高でした。
