Peaceful, Private Lakeside Retreat on Beautiful Long Lake

Come stay at this 4 bedroom, 2 bath home on beautiful Long Lake. You will love the privacy of 200 feet of lakefront property to relax or spend the day on the water! Beautiful views are just one benefit of this property. Kayaks, paddle boats, swim platforms are all some of the available amenities at Big Red’s Retreat! This lake house provides sleeping arrangements for up to 11 to accommodate your whole family. Air conditioners are available during the warm summer months and heat during the colder months. There are two docks available for use. In the summer, bring your boat and go fishing for Crappie, Walleye, Largemouth or Smallmouth Bass. Take the day off from great fishing and go tubing and swimming with the family in a beautiful, sandy bottom lake. Only 10 minutes from wonderful hiking at the Au Sable River, the famous River Scenic Byway and Lumberman’s Monument. Lake Huron is a short 25 minute drive. In the winter, bring your shanty and go ice fishing for walleye or enjoy the ski and snow trails nearby. This is the perfect location to relax away at a home away from home! You will love Long Lake!

Great stay on Long Lake

We stayed here with 4 adults and 3 kids. It was a very cute and well stocked home, just as advertised. The swimming raft, fire pit and boat dock all got a lot of use. Great family time!

Nice place for a long weekend

The cabin and grounds were very clean. We had 4 adults and 6 kids, and they all had a blast. The yard was big enough for the kids to run around and have fun while the adults sat around the fire pit. The only complaint we would have is the number of snails in the lake and the lack of a beachy front to walk into the water. But the kids still had fun using the kayaks and paddle boat as well as jumping off of the docks. All of the amenities were available and well stocked. Overall, we had a really great stay.

Summer 2024

We had a great time, lots of room, water activities and lake were perfect! Home was well equipped, had all the necessary items and supplies, well equipped. Adequate room for all our guests to stay. Deck over looking the water was nice for your morning coffee. I would recommend an additional couple life jackets for the water sport activities provided. Also, a slow cooker or crockpot would be nice. Overall, great place, we will be back!

Enjoying every moment in life 😎

My husband and I ,our adult son and daughter and their families. A total of 10 of us all went in together to rent this house for four nights. It had some thing for everyone to do , kayaking, paddle boating and We rented a pontoon from a local place on the lake for three days. Spent a lot of time on it. anchor it out from the house for swimming and kayak back-and- forth. The first evening went to the local bar and grill for dinner . Each family took an evening to cook. 😃 we had 2 14-year-olds and 2 17-year-olds that enjoyed fishing from the dock. They drowned a lot of worms out there, but were able to catch some little sunfish and return them back and to the lake to grow bigger. Every evening we had a bonfire around a hugh fire pit ... the sunrises were beautiful ..the moon rising late at night was unbelievable . All and all we had the time of our lives .

Very easy check in and out. Host was friendly and easy to communicate with. Electonic keypad would be easier than a physical key; we were afraid we would lose it. Neighbors were very close, due to the configuration of the pointe. Slightly noisy at times (power washing, lawn mowing). No frills, but comfortable. Just like living at a lake house--what we were looking for! Beautiful, expansive view of the lake, with beautiful morning sun into the suroom :)
