"We booked a room just to take the kids swimming. They enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. The room was not clean. The arms of the chair was sticky, the lamp switch was sticky, the inside of the bathroom door looks like it had poo smeared on the door. If properly cleaned, I would have liked my stay very much."

"From top to bottom the stay was a trainwreck! 1. Poor experience with staff checking 2. Not recognized as a Hilton Rewards member 3. Room was filthy, with hair all over the floor of the bathroom and in the sink. 4. No replacement of toilet paper, coffee pods not replaced, shampoo dispenser was empty, rug not vacuumed, and given 3 towels for four people. 5. Fire alarm went off at 1 in the morning with no one telling us we could re-enter,no apology, and text as to what happened (was there a fire?) 6. Restaurant was empty at 6 pm and floor was sticky 7. We were overcharged on the food, so check your bill (could be a scam for all travelers) 8. Property is failing apart. Doors leading to the outside missing knobs, gutters hanging door, and light bulbs out. 9. Best part of my families stay was leaving this once nice property."

"We stayed 2 nights while going to King’s Dominion. Unpin arrival, the toilet in our room was blocked up. I had to call the front desk 3 times (hours apart) to get a plunger. One of the keys to our room didn’t work both nights despite being re-scanned a few times. Breakfast area is very small and was extremely crowded each morning. This hotel was fine for what we needed, but I would not have an extended stay here."

"This hotel is a little rough around the edges but our room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast was very good and cooked right on the premises. Food was brought out hot and fresh. The staff were on their phones and not engaging but friendly when spoken with. The location is terrific. Maybe you save a few bucks staying here but I’d pay more for a hotel that is being maintained better. "

"Easy parking. Across the street from Kings Dominion. Decent free breakfast w attentive staff. Bed comfort was ok. Noisy at times but simmered down around 11:00. Clean and easy. Great value for families. "
