"I really liked this hotel. It’s fairly new, clean and has great views. I especially enjoyed the thermal bath and the amenities. Breakfast was good and the staff very friendly. However it felt a little isolated from the cities nearby and it’s takes time ti get in and out with public transportation. But it’s a great location with a car!"

"Kannawaen was the perfect way to end a busy two week Janapn vacation in a quiet and relaxing way. We truly enjoyed our room’s private Onsen, and the two meals we had on the property were both excellent and reasonably priced. The staff were kind and accommodating. The gift shops had beautiful local goods to commemorate our trip. Walking distance to five of the Seven Hells. We loved our experience at Kannawaen and recommend it wholeheartedly to travelers who want a quiet place to relax and unwind....

"Great stay! We had the corner suite and it was huge with amazing view. Hotel was very quite and very clean. We also had half board and dinner included buffet that had king crabs and they also provided set menu at the table. Onsen was amazing and relaxing. Highly recommend and would love to stay here again when we are back in Beppu. "
