"I really liked this hotel. It’s fairly new, clean and has great views. I especially enjoyed the thermal bath and the amenities. Breakfast was good and the staff very friendly. However it felt a little isolated from the cities nearby and it’s takes time ti get in and out with public transportation. But it’s a great location with a car!"

We truly enjoyed our room’s private Onsen, and the two meals we had on the property were both excellent and reasonably priced. The staff were kind and accommodating. The gift shops had beautiful local goods to commemorate our trip. Walking distance to five of the Seven Hells. We loved our experience at Kannawaen and recommend it wholeheartedly to travelers who want a quiet place to relax and unwind....

Tatami rooms w/a kitchen, tiny bathroom (ship size). It is an older hotel, but it was perfect for us. The young man running the hotel was so nice and pleasant. "Lovely stay and super attentive staff. My bed was a bit soft. The free onsen usage on site was great. The resturant appeared to have a bigger menu than the limited Shabu Shabu that was shown in English, I wish we had known about that as the other patrons food looked amazing. Lots to do in walking distance from the hotel and free parking on site. "
