The bed was very comfortable however the room had ripped curtains, broken toilet seat, musty smell and the sink faucet was very difficult to use.

Room could have been cleaner, especially flat surfaces of bed-side tables where we could clearly see sticky residue. The hallways and carpeting needs to be updated as it has seen about 20+ years of foot traffic. There are most definitely people living in this hotel. We heard dogs barking, babies crying and slamming doors, and for a smoke-free facility, there is 100% cannabis smoking inside some of the rooms, as smelled from the hallways. Pro-cannabis user here, but take it outside! There are beautiful views of the river from the back parking lot, a great steakhouse down the street and easy walkable access to the XL Live venue for music events. The cost reflects the condition of this hotel, but the service was excellent. Very courteous desk management and we slept well which was a plus.

Bobbi was warm and kind and happy to help she is a good staff, and the guy too is a good staff but The room I got had maps and blood stains on the sheets, stains on the wall, and smells bad everything was dirty and nasty and sticky, there was cigarette ash on the bed the bathroom lights didn’t work. I will not recommend it’s very dirty and dusty like it’s never been cleaned before sheets are brown and old

If you're just looking for a cheap hotel in the area, this is the place. Room was clean with a faint smell of bleach. Definitely furniture thats been around for a few years. Beds were comfy and bathroom was good. Hallway was rather warm for having a few wall a/c.

It was fine for the price. No continental breakfast when I was there. Just coffee and I got out there at 6:30AM. Ice machine worked, AC worked, snack machines were functional, decent shower. 3PM check in. Fridge and microwave good. Pick up food somewhere because the hotel is a good walk from anywhere, if you don't drive. Overall good. 3 nights. Cable TV.

The room was clean. The staff was friendly, but not incredibly accommodating. The hotel was in an impressive place on the river. I asked for a room facing the river. I was told they couldn't because they were "at 85% capacity". The cars in the parking lot and the number of rooms available was closer to 8.5% capacity. The building itself was at, one time presumably, gorgeous. Perhaps in the 70's...but clearly had it's best times behind it. The restaurant, bar, ballroom, etc were long since closed...perhaps decades since. It looks as such. Despite the previous glory of the hotel grounds itself, it is more on par with that of a "Super 8, Motel 6, etc". The room itself was nice. Also, it wasn't until after I booked that the hotel sent me a message with the notice of a surprise fee of $10/day for vehicle parking on their private lot...which aforementioned had plenty of empty space.

We have stayed at this hotel a few times because we live in the region and come to Harrisburg for the arts festivals on Memorial Day and Labor Day on occasion. Primarily because the location is very convenient, being right on the greenbelt along the river at the edge of downtown, near the festival grounds. It recently changed hands and it doesn't seem like things have improved. We waited an hour to check into the room because the rooms weren't cleaned in time for the stated check-in at 3 pm. It took 3 tries to get into the room because the room keys didn't open our door, forcing me to go up and down the stairs (no elevator) for new keys. Once inside, finally, the tv didn't work, nor did the WIFI, as the signal was too weak to reach the 2nd floor. At 3:30 am we were woken up by unruly guests in the hallway. Some of these things weren't exactly the hotel's fault, and it was Memorial Day weekend, so the hotel was full and we couldn't switch rooms. But this place is a 1- or 2-night max stay, and don't expect much beyond that.
