Artists’ House is designed for the comfort and ease of our guests whether coming to Harrogate on business or for leisure. The decor is designed to compliment the period and structure of the building reflecting its elegant proportions. The colours are chosen for harmony and are of the period to give guests a truly relaxing place to stay. The rich colours of the sofas reflect the era whilst giving contemporary comfort. The log burner gives a romantic light on cold nights. The sitting room also has a SMART TV with DVD player, Bluetooth speakers, Retro Record player incorporating CD and Cassette players. The dining room features an original fireplace (decorative non functioning) the table extends to seat up to 10, seating for 6 provided, guests can request extra seating. The enclosed terrace comes equipped with BBQ, chiminea and alfresco dining for 6. In the summer there are floral displays. The bedrooms are spacious. Guests remark on the comfort of our beds. They can split to give two singles in each room. We welcome families and we can provide extra folding beds for up to two teens (£65 per bed per week or part thereof. Guests can request travel cots and high chairs - no charge- but guests need to provide their own bedding. A maximum of 2 small well behaved pets are welcome at extra charge (£65 per stay) with prior notice. (Dogs to be caged overnight) unless agreed otherwise with the owners in advance. Pets must not be left unattended at any time. There are USB sockets throughout the property.

The Yorkshire Dales National Park and all its amenities is a short 10 minutes drive from the property. North York Moors National Park is a bit further.

Guests have sole use of the property. The enclosed terrace is accessed through the dining room French Doors.

We are permanently on call for emergencies and to respond to guests concerns. We live locally and so know the area well and can easily see to any requests and answer any questions or concerns a guest may have. We operate a personal welcome service, so guests get to meet us and have an opportunity to raise any concerns, this also enables us to get to know our guests.

The spacious property is centrally located in a quiet residential street - a short walk to Harrogate Conference Centre, Royal Hall and all Harrogate has to offer in terms of shopping, restaurants and nightlife. Free WiFi. Free unrestricted parking. Recently refurbished.

If arriving by train although the property is a short walk from the station guests generally prefer to take a taxi - rank outside main entrance and across the road Approx £6.

There are plentiful buses, however, most guests prefer to walk the short distances. The Stray is less than 200 metres away. The town centre is 12 minutes walk. The Yorkshire Event Centre is an easy walk.

Please do not attempt to launder the linen or towels- we will have to charge the cost of replacements- its a condition from our laundry. We are happy to replace any linen and towels during your stay. We make a nominal charge for this service.

We charge £65 for an extra bed for a child or teen per week or part thereof. Includes linen and towels.

We welcome a maximum of 2 small pets at this property. There is an additional charge of £65 per stay. Pets are not permitted upstairs or on the furniture. Dogs should be caged overnight unless agreed otherwise in advance by the owners of the property. Animals must not be left unattended at the property.

We are unable to fit stair gates at this property.

Please make sure you use the handrail on the stairs and do not rush. Stairs in keeping with a 19th Century property have smaller and steeper treads and can catch guests unawares.
- Candles are not permitted.
Smoking and vaping are forbidden.
We will charge for cleaning costs incurred for infringement and replacement of soft furnishings including sofas and beds.
- Pets are welcome with prior consent from owners. A maximum of two small pets - there is a charge of £65 per stay payable in advance. Pets are not permitted on the furniture or upstairs. All fouling must be immediately cleaned up. Dogs are to be caged overnight. Pets must not be left unattended on the premises at any time.
- Guests must provide beds and dishes for their pets, they must not use household utensils or dishes for pets.
- Please note there are no child safety features at the property.
- Please note there are no stair gates and stair gates cannot be fitted.
Stairs are narrow with shallow treads - always use the handrail and exercise extreme care. Unsuited to those with mobility issues.

Please ensure all doors and windows are secure whenever the premises are unattended. Please note : no linens or towels should be laundered/washed by guests or their agents. It is a condition from our laundry. They charge to replace any items not cleaned by them and we in turn pass on such costs to our guests.

Should you require extra laundry during your stay - let us know and we will supply at cost.

The charging of any electric vehicle or scooter or bike is prohibited.

Ensure all electrical chargers are unplugged whenever the property is left unattended.
