"We booked our last 2 days in Tokyo at the We Base Kamakura property. We couldn't have been happier with our choice. The property feels brand new and very well amenitized. A perfect combination of Japanese traditions and western comfort from our perspective. Located within minutes from the beach, we spent some relaxing time watching the surfers and wind surfers out in the water. There are both low key and higher end food options within walking distance. Lastly, it is an inexpensive cab ride and single train to Haneda. Very satisfied, recommend if you are looking for a more chill side of Tokyo"

"Very clean room and clean hotel all together. Very peaceful. Staff was great and they even gave skin care routines when we arrived. Honestly, this hotel would be perfect if they would just add more clothes washing machines. they only had 2 for the whole hotel, so sometimes you couldn’t get a wash in when it was convenient for you. "It's an absolutely beautiful historic Japanese home in a relatively quiet neighborhood. It's a great way to escape the business of the bigger cities for a couple days. Check in was easy and friendly. The train station is only a 5 minute walk away and they have a Family Mart about a 5-10 minute walk away. The beach is also only a 10-15 walk away so this is a very conveniently located hotel. It is a traditional Japanese home though so don't expect comfy king size beds, tvs, couches or much comfort. But that's part of the experience. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars for me is just due to the price versus the comfort. I feel like without the comforts of bigger beds, better heating/cooling system, comfy chairs, etc, that the price should be a bit lower."
