"We loved our stay at Dragonfly Ranch. The location is out of the way but perfect for seeing the beauty and splendor that is Hawaii. The people are kind and interesting. It's not for everyone. You are quite immersed in nature. There will be geckos in your room and the birds and insects are right outside. It's almost like camping with a comfy bed. "

"This was the most beautiful retreat like location it literally is 10 times better than it appears in the posting. This home is decorated with love and attention. The property is secluded safe and beyond words. We absolutely looked forward to coming home in the evening to hear the frogs to nap in the afternoon, hearing the chickens, and to wake to the rooster Keiko was an added bonus as the most lovable dog on the island. Due to line maintenance we did return home to no power one evening. The host was responsive within minutes. We lit candles and enjoyed the frogs until power was restored a few hours later. - we had zero issues. Hands-down, our best VRBO experience."

The house served as a great base camp for day trips to the Kaiula-Kona area, Punalu'u Black Sand Beach,Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and other local sites.The sweeping Pacific view from the Lanai is stunning, with gorgeous sunsets.The house had everything we needed and was very clean and cozy. Michele was a great host and even gave us a loaf of delicious ube sweetbread. The garden and the nighttime chirping of coqui frogs were very relaxing.If you are planning a trip to the west side of the Big Island and want a peaceful place to unwind after your adventures, this is the place to go. (And make sure to stop at the Panalu'u bake shop for a malassada or two ...or three)."

"If you’re looking for a home away from home that’s just 10 minutes from the best snorkeling, you have found the place. We were greeted by Tina and Keri with fresh eggs, papayas, avocados and bananas and coffee straight from their land. Everything is authentic, especially the kindness and care they bring, including the best muffins and cake and expert knowledge of where to snorkel. Their library of guidebooks on nature, hiking, and travel were awesome, as well as every possible thing you might need, including coats to use for a trip to the volcano. This area, South Kona, is a special place to relax and enjoy Kona coffee, and adventures with a rainbow of fish. A big Mahalo to Tina and Keri for a trip of a life time. "
