"We booked our 2 night stay in February. We arrived to be told that there would be no electricity in the entire region for the following day. The hotel is located in the wilderness at the end of the road. Although the hotel was advised by the electric company of this planned power outage weeks in advance, they failed to notify us, except by phoning our home 2 days in before, while we were already en route as this hotel is only reachable by taking two ferries and travelling two days from Vancouver. Overall the property was run down and needs a complete overhaul. The hotel restaurant (when there is electrical power) only serves lunch and dinner, and there is no other restaurant. No breakfast available. We asked for, and received one night free of charge because of the lack of electricity. However, this did little to make up for a ruined two day stay. We would not have travelled to this remote location had we know there was no electricity and no food."
